Devongone! Pardon me saying this but you actually sound like you have "given up the ghost" anyway! Some interesting notions of reverting back to what is perceived as "better days" for "all and sundry" within this island but I think that is a "tongue in cheek" hope rather than belief because the politics at Westminster are non-progressive, have been for decades, full of a failed political ideology. As for putting down everything that is the EU, what about all the positives that are associated with the EU???? They do actually exist and many people have benefited from EU activities and policies. There are a lot more positives and yet they are conveniently ignored in this concentrated list of negatives, some of them lies and exaggerations to suit a warped argument, that most Brexit protagonists keep referring to. I acknowledge that the EU is not perfect but neither is the British govt or any other for that matter. One can but try to improve things from within!!
