I’m eager to see how Trump will act with Saudi Arabia if it comes out that Khashoggi’s murder was given the ok by people high up the Government.
He will denounce any intel that says that as fake news. There is no way the Saudis will ever admit to this, and while they stay firm on their story that they were not involved, he will support them - as virtually every other US President has done. If we ever find out what happened and who did what, Trump will denounce those people individually and not the regime as a whole.

Turkey/Erdogan slowly "dripfeeding" the relevant info of what really happened to Kashoggi. The poor man has been ambushed as soon as he entered the Saudi Embassy and garroted from the rear,
a shocker!
And you will hear various countries condemn this abhorrent event, they will make some demands of the Saudis, that may or not be met, but ultimately when the Saudi Government blame this on rogue elements performing unauthorized actions they will likely fall in line with that story. We will likely then see "arrests" of individuals but being Saudi Arabia, rather than a public trial and conviction, they will just disappear.
The reality of this is most Western governments are saying in their heads "there but for the grace of God go I" because there isn't likely any of them that have clean hands when it comes to this sort of activity in some form or other.
