It doesn’t effect Trump or the Russia Investigation but I’ve found this interesting. Representative Chris Collins, who is one of Trump’s biggest allies and the first Congressman to come out in support of him before the election, has been indicted with Conspiracy to Commit Securities Fraud, Wire Fraud and Making False Statements which stems from an alleged insider trading scheme. The trading is on an Australian pharmaceutical company that he was on the board of. His son has also been indicted for his role in the insider trading.
Now this doesn’t effect Trump politically but it could help the Democrats in the midterms. During Trump’s Campaign he talked about “Draining the Swamp” yet since his election win there has been a lot of people within the Campaign, Administration and Congress on the Republican side who have been involved in scandals or indicted for crimes.
Trump hasn’t drained the swamp, he and the GOP have infested it. That is what the Democrats have to include in their focus in the run-up to the Midterms.
In other news a Republican ran district in Ohio for over three decades has had a special election. Trump won the district by 10 points 19 months ago, last night the Republican had a strong footing of 50.2 of the vote. The Democrat had 49.3 of the vote. That 10 point gap has been raked in and there was still thousands of votes left to be counted and verified. If the gap is pulled to 0.5 then a recount is automatically started.
To make things worse for the Republicans, Trump endorsed the guy and appeared at a rally last week. It seems like people are starting to wake up.
