What you described just epitomises the hypocrisy and 'double standards' practised by western governments. The Israelis kill Palestinians with impunity. Netanyahu regards Palestinians as 'vermin' and he and his government instruct their IDF enforcers with uncompromising and murderous tactics where ultra right-wing protagonists have no regret in killing any Palestinian for the merest of offences! They've been doing it with impunity for decades n decades..... with western governments literally condoning their murderous actions - forget the 'cheap talk' and rhetoric on the issue, 'turning a blind eye' to it is nothing short of complicity 'on a grand scale!!! We are watching 'the oppressor', the State of Israel, on the 70th anniversary of being assisted by 'the west' to evict an indigenous people, the Palestinians, from their lands, their homes etc (see the preceding Balfour Declaration of 1917 https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Balfour_Declaration) and suddenly 'hold a high authority' over the fate of these people with colluding western govts looking on!! What a travesty, what an injustice and what a huge cost in human life!! I wonder how many lives (some of them British soldiers!) have been lost, directly and indirectly, during those 70 years!!??? I'll bet the figure is massive and disproportionate although I'm sure many Israeli lives have been lost but Israel has been 'armed to the teeth' by our own govt and others - a standing joke, a disgrace!! Lastly, I observed and listened to one of Netanyahu's right wing cohorts uttering the most contemptuous reasoning why the Israelis have every right to shoot and kill Palestinians but silenced by his own admission that ONE ISRAELI SOLDIER WAS SLIGHTLY INJURED in these incidents - a bit disproportionate said the bbc interviewer who was then subjected to a tirade of irrational comments re such action being right and proper! Then the American ambassador for the UN, Nikki Haley, appeared on the scene from the UN HQ and her supporting comments/dialogue re Israel's actions reminded me of the previous Israeli numpty - another right wing scumbag uttering verbal shit with impunity and clearly with a set agenda to the dismay of most of the UN representatives who have condemned Israel's actions but they do nothing of significance to penalise these people!!! There must be millions of American citizens who are as livid re Haley's ludicrous remarks as well as the same shit coming from Trump's supportive shit heids in the White House. Absolutely no chance of peace in the Middle East and Trump and his criminal group of chancers know that anyway!!
