But he isn't playing for an IPL or Big Bash team, and his commitments to Yorkshire in the T20 Blast (which he'd have played anyway) and England in their Sri Lanka tour will keep him from signing for any of the minor T20 leagues, so how is he "chasing the money"? If anything, he'll be financially worse off from this decision in the year to come, not better off.
Yorkshire have every right to feel aggrieved, but ultimately, he's thirty years old and England have sent pretty clear signals about their preferences when it comes to Test spinners, so he's cracking on with what he's best at and feels is most rewarding. He shouldn't be considered a mercenary for that.
