Great to see such 'shared cynicism' when it comes to sussing out the motives of this toerag govt! 
I'll supplement that cynicism by commenting that, 'While the toerags extend their money-saving benefits freeze to against a lower group of people, who don't vote for them, the pensioners in this country remain untouched' and their wealthy backers and supporters are allowed all kindsa tax dodges!? I wonder why eh? Note there are many wealthy (or reasonably well off) pensioners in this country and IMO this group of people should also be contributing a 'wee bit more' to HM Treasury but we all know that is a 'political hot potato' for the toerags'!
