Wallace was one of our better players IMO. It's the others I worry about  

but there's no getting away from the rigid 4-4-2 at all costs problem  

He was but that was unexpected. I think both him and Boyd will play a role this season still but with Boyd we will get more energy and a player that will not be the first sub used most games.

As regards the 442, yes you are right there. By being rigid with it we have to make it work almost perfectly most of the time or else we struggle. We have to score the first goal to really do well and then we do much better playing counter attacking football, its when we concede first that this rigid system fails.
