The language of the original bill is clear and nothing said during the election campaign or in this speech contradicts or retreats from it in any way.
Since the referendum result sturgeon has never tried to be anything other than flexible over brexit. She tried a UK wide approach and was rebuffed by may,she tried talking directly to brussels,and only when no other card was to play did she go for another referendum.
I don't think losing the seats in Scotland is a problem for the SNP, but the Conservatives failure to get a big majority is a massive,massive problem for them. I expect the country and the brexit negotiations to have unravelled by this time next year and the landscape to have changed again.
