Aye Jim! Remember this is all relative to the use of the 'WMD threat' that previous British govts, and others, have used to falsely attack the likes of Iraq and yet certain people within our shores still wanna bizarrely present the argument that we should embrace the philosophy of having our own WMDs and the possibility of blowing away millions of innocent people in some kinda justified retaliation! But of course some folk don't wanna 'push the button' anyway. So don't bother with needlessly 'forking out' billions of quid for a 'f### off deterrent' idea and spend that kinda money on far more important things that will benefit our country and people! Also, for example, the Russians and Putin know only too well that nuclear reprisal would have a world wide effect particularly after experiencing the effects of the Chernobyl 'meltdown' disaster and it's impact on countries throughout Europe + the disastrous legacy of people still dying of radiation induced cancers in Ukraine even now - harsh lessons learnt and that disaster would be classed as 'small scale' compared with the 'real thing'!
