However England and wales are leaning to the right,and in Scotland the labour vote has moved to independence. For what its worth on independence and freed from WM i think Scottish labour would become the main party again.
Looking in from afar, it seems to me that the major topic in this election is Brexit. With all the main parties appearing to be campaigning on the assumption that irrespective of who wins, Brexit will go ahead, then this might simply come down to which party (or leader of a party) is perceived to be better at guiding the country through the negotiations over the next two years. Normally that would involved picking the good points about the respective leaders and making a decision, but this year its going to be about who you definitely do not trust to lead the country through this. And for me this is where Labour will fail because as Jim said "Corbyn isn't exactly a good leader" and I cannot see enough voters switching to them and giving him control of our exit from the EU!! I think more people will hold their noses and vote Tory because of this lack of faith in Corbyn.
