Good comments Devongone. Re your end comment in parenthesis, I've said it previously and I'll say it again that Scotland has a historically rich association with Europe and one can see it in our language, our multi cultural people, our behaviour and indeed the strong pro-European backgrounds and integration within Scotland itself. I regard myself as a Scot and a cosmopolitan due to my rich family background that is blended with many Euro nationalities and my grand kids also have an English element in their blood line. We are similar to London in many respects but we are distinctly different due to our identifiable 'Scottishness' as well! IMO it was an absolute tragedy that we are not already well into being a separate, sovereign country and recent events like Brexit and the alarming change in attitude and tolerance down south (+extreme Toryism - the wrong party that is running our country at the current time btw!!) merely confirm that view.
