Brentford @ Deepdale 11/2/2017

In September 2011 North End won 3-1 at Griffin Park with goals by Hume, Mellor and Proctor, it was the last of seven wins on the bounce under Tango Man Brown, after that result we promptly lost the next seven and Tango was soon on the way out. It was also the last time we beat the Bees, in seven meetings since then we have picked up one solitary point, think they have also won the last two at Deepdale 3-1 so the omens for Saturday are not good.
Odd team this lot can have patches of form where they are unstoppable and at other time can looked deciedly ordinary as with last Sunday sometimes in the same game having thrown away a two goal lead against Brighton. They are one of those teams who in my view will always threaten to get one level higher but always come up just short. We came a distant second at Griffin Park in September losing 5-0 although they scored three when we were reduced to ten due to injury however when they scored three we were extremely shite to say the least.
Since that stuffing think we've only lost four in 22 so have recovered somewhat since that day. The Bees sold top scorer Hogan to Villa for about £9 million but have replaced him with a lad from Holland Florian Jozefzoom, resigned Sergio Canos, they are a fairly cosmopolitan side drawing players from all over Europe, they are a decent outfit.
Last time away from home they lost at Wigan could probably put that down to the air pollution at the DW stadium, they are a bit hit and miss away from home so hopefully it will be a miss this Saturday.
North End will still be without Baptiste although getting closer to fitness, Welsh has suffered a setback and Woods has started runnng for the first time since his cruciate injury in August. Plenty of competition for places with Robinson and Johnson missing out last week, suspect we won't have a lot of the ball so will have to work hard on Saturday, not too many changes from Oakwell although don't think he'll start with Makienok.
Have you heard about the news on Mizar 5
