Nottingham Forest @ The City Ground 14/12/2016

The usual night fixture at the City Ground toplay an inconsistent Forest side although according to those pundits at Sky they are improving rapidly although based on yesterdy's showing at Derby that does seem to be a very bold prediction. They scraped home against nine man Newcastle in their last home game with the scabbiest of winners, a week before that they hammered Barnsley 5-2. Given that their last three games have been on the box it is probably a surprise that this one isn't given the amount of times they show these apparent big clubs.
At the moment Forest are 16th and as usual seem to be on the verge of a takeover which would probably spell the end for the manager Phillipe Montanier, seems a lot of supporters want the Frenchman out as well.
Last season they beat us 1-0 catching us on the break, they still appear to play the same way with players of extreme pace, they were hindered yesterday when Lansbury was ruled out just before the kick off and Assombalonga also being ruled out with a hamstring injury. They are a cosmopolitan outfit these days with players from all parts of the worls, they even have the prince of Denmark in their ranks one Nicklaus Bendtner, they also rely on home grown players such as Matty Cash who is on the radar of several top clubs.
They look to be good going forward but seem to have a few problems stopping them going in, should be an entertaining night down by the Trent.
Gallagher and McGeady may return tomorrow night, could do with Gallagher to lob some expert free kicks into the box as Forest cannot defend them.
Personal view leave Hugill out just to give him a bit of a break and play May alongside the Danish beanpole that is Makienok.
Coach job on Wednesday a freebie by the sponsors for the third 888 bet derby of the season.
