2016/17 (Jan 30 Update) WBA January Transfer Window
I really don't want Robson-Kanu, there's a reason his last club released him and no one has signed him yet. I'd rather have Ulloa and he isn't great.

I'm bored with this now, having top quality dangled in front of us, then yep that's right we sign a full back deemed surplus to requirements at Watford. Anyone remember Bullseye, it's almost like.............look at what you could have won!

Too early for me to start getting annoyed... but with the latter stages of the window approaching it feels like we're resorting to our 5th and 6th choice targets... AGAIN.

Robson Kanu is a 5 goal a season man, who has been available all summer and suddenly we're in for him because Wednesday rebuffed us for Forestieri, Leicester pushed the boat out for Slimani and we couldn't compete with Stoke for Bony...

A Championship player who scored one good goal in the Euros. Hope I'm wrong but I think he's completely out of his depth at this level.

Still some hours left, but right now I get the feeling that we're completely in the doldrums just digging for the scraps that nobody else wants. Surely the Camacho deal should be over the line by now, he's the one decent player we seemed to have been linked with...

Robson-Kanu to West Brom
Posted at 16:03

BBC Wales football correspondent Rob Phillips is told that Hal Robson-Kanu has been given permission to leave Wales training ahead of a transfer.

Robson-Kanu, currently a free agent, has an offer from West Brom and is set to travel to the Midlands club in the next hour for a medical.

Meanwhile at the Custard Bowl....

We are delighted to confirm that Ivan Cavaleiro has signed for Wolves from @AS_Monaco. #WelcomeIvan

The club are too tight to pay all upfront rather than 2.5m in add-ons. The result is, we end up with players nobody else wants.

He is young and fit and can score goals.

This immediately makes him better than Big Vic and Lambert and his enthusiasm will put Bermoanio to shame. Therefore, to my mind it is good business.

We don't know the terms of any contract and so this could be a super bargain.

Imagine - A striker on the bench who is desperate to get on the pitch and give 5,10,20 minutes of effort to show what he can do, when the manager gives him the nod.

They say "Use a young dog to get an old dog fitter" - so maybe this will have a positive effect on Saido and we'll see him get back to form?

The window is not closed yet - so it does not make him our number 2 striker.

On the face of it, and it may change of course, it would seem like we've 'targeted' too many players instead of focussing on specific ones.

If Robson-Kanu is the answer then I'll moon in tesco's.... Sick

I still think one good surprise attacking signing along with a couple of ok ones like Nyom and someone, then this window looks quite decent, we certainly don't need to give up hope yet.

Also on Robson-Kanu he is a winger and a striker, I don't think he's particularly good at either but his versatility is probably a big reason for us getting him.

So let me understand this, we refuse spurs advances for saido due to the payments being installments, saying we would be unable to buy reinforcements. Then we do the same to the teams we're trying to buy from and expect a different outcome? Isn't the definition of insanity repeating the same thing over and over again and expecting a different outcome. Why can't we for once grow a pair, go out on a limb, take the plunge, why must we always be the poor relation, the ugly duckling. Rant over, hopefully we're working behind the scenes to bring in Neymar, he'd make a good conversion to left back.

Hal Robson Kanu - Trains with us in the summer as a Free Agent - we dont offer him any type of contract, 6 weeks later we are rushing him in for a medical!

Wake up and smell the Coffee! This is not Astute scouting, this is a shambles and an embarrassment!

We need 2-3 top quality signings today to salvage this transfer window!

I was so giddy yesterday to see how today panned out but now again left feeling deflated and dissapointed!
