Superb golf from both of them but particularly from Stenson!! Currently -7 today!!
Birdie on the 18th to shoot a 63 and finish -20, great performance by Stenson!!! 1st major at 40!!

Mickelson & Rory got me a couple of places.
Stenson and Mickelson were incredible on the last day, shame one had to lose.

It's links courses that give the older players the chance. You have to be wise when playing a links course, you have to be able to forget the unlucky bounces or the poor shots to be able to win and that tends to come with age. Of course there will always be exceptions such as Woods and Spieth but if you look back at winner of Open on links courses the list is full of older players or at the very least guys who came close once and managed to get it right another time later. A lot of players play do not play on links courses that often and it is a different game certainly to what you see on the US circuit.
