Yes, this is one of the problems I've noticed. Those whom voted out have been tarred with the same brush as UKIP voters. Again, despite their vote being based on nothing to do with Immigration.

This is pathetically petty bullshit from the remain side and makes me feel like an arsehole for being on the remain side. Like everyone else I had my personal reasons and this campaign certainly made for strange bed fellows didn't it? I generally can't stand these PC white guilt Muppet's. I almost used to be one until I saw the light. They're nothing more than a group of hypocrites, completely intolerant of anyone that doesn't agree with them all the while they turn a blind eye to all kinds of racism, homophobia and Anti-British sentiment.

Faux multiculturism.

Even stranger yet. I find myself agreeing with Jeremy Clarkson Doh We should have 24 hours to bitch & moan, then rolls up our sleeves and make this shit shower work! It's not a great start when the Remain campaign is spitting its dummy out, back on the "You're racist its all your fault" instead of getting its head down to find some common ground to build a future on. If the people don't rally together we're fcuked. There's people that need to realize Immigration IS a problem, but it is not THE problem with England. That always has and always will be down to the thieving Oligarchy cutting funding for every social programme imaginable. Stealing our pensions, taking that house you've worked all your life for in 'Inheritance tax' The list is endless.

We're all daft if we think that right now, BOJO and various other shit stains aren't already planning ways to get their claws into what's left of the Country.

If you voted leave (which I did), you are now called a racist xenophobic bigot!

Apparently there is a online petition for a 2nd referendum, 1,300,000 signatures so far!!

Maybe we should get a petition for the playoff final to be re-run too!!

The thing is this wasn't just about immigration but when I speak to people that was very high up the agenda!! But being against immigration shouldn't automatically make you a racist but the remain campaign have to hold onto something. Unfortunately the knee jerk reaction across the financial markets is playing right into remains hands as proof they were right, but once again it's all smoke and mirrors!! Here in the US, the stock market dropped 600 points and everyone panicked, but as was pointed out, the market jumped 500 points on Thursday when it looked like Remain would win, so all that happened was it went back to where it was on Wednesday!!!! Of course a lot of traders made a lot of money in the process!!

Spot on, SCO.

Thursday evening (here) the pound was rising rapidly, right after Farage went on air saying the Remain looked like winning. It continued to take a bit of a hit over the next 24-36hrs, but nothing like the plummet some stats are trying to show with their shitty bar charts. It should recover.

The Le Touquet agreement stays in place for now at least, it could be re-negotiated. Good old Obama says Britian's relationship with the USA remains strong. Things are not ideal, but it's not the apocalypse either.

Now the remain campaign want to petition for a second vote? All this whilst hyprocritically screaming "Bigot" at anything that moves. It's embarrassing and they should hang their heads. They don't need to look any further than the ends of their noses to find the problem either. Doh

Quite frankly after Britain's open door policy on Non-EU Immigration for so long it's little surprise we've arrived at this destination. The Government always had the power to control the issue but never did, for whatever reason... Up until a few years go when it implemented knee jerk laws that basically stopped people like me returning with my spouse and did little to nothing to stop the actual problem.. Doh

A German friend of mine said to me yesterday that this comes as no surprise because we never really bought into the EU like the Germans did. Our entry into the Common Market was contentious 40 years ago and we have never been comfortable even referring to ourselves as European!! We never remotely looked like joining the Euro, always hanging on to Sterling like a favorite blanket!!

While I would have preferred to see a remain victory, our island mentality meant it was only sooner or later that something liked this happened. Cameron actually should be applauded for being brave enough to stick his neck out and promise a referendum in the first place. He thought he would win, he should have won but didn't and that's the risk he took. All the other main parties essentially didn't want to hold the referendum, not because they thought it wasn't needed, but because they like everyone else knew that this might go either way. Cameron had the balls to do it, Labour, Lib Dems and that Scottish mob didn't!!

I can't stand Farage, nor virtually anything he stands for, but I do agree with something he said yesterday. He is not in favor of completely shutting our borders, we will always have immigration to and from the UK, what he wants to see is us using a point system like Australia do to control immigration. They have used this system to great effect since the 1980s I believe and to this day they only let in those who will contribute to the society they have already against a set criteria. I think that makes sense and in no way is this racist in any way, it treats everyone looking to come into the country the same way, if you have the right attributes to collect enough points then you get in. I know this system well, having lived in Australia as a kid I thought it would be a good place for me and my wife to live and and have a go over there back in the early 90s, but when we went through the points system we missed the threshold required by a few points and were denied entry. We would get through it now because my brother lives there and I now have a degree but at the time we missed out. We were pissed, but it was fair.

Most of the bigots are on the Remain side. They hate the great 'unwashed' English (as they look down their noses on them)  Doh

I'm far from racist, it's impossible to be a racist and have contact with other humans in Bradford. I voted out for many reasons. The main one was for my kids sake. Yes we might have a recession and it could be tough for a few years but we couldn't carry on on the path we were on. I firmly believe that in ten years time we will look back and wonder what the big fuss was as we watch Germany propping up the Fourth Reich.

I googled that cycle lane today and it was £29.2 million not £7 million  Angry

Perhaps someone should set up a petition to allow the result to stand  Thumb up I think it would probably get 2 million more signatures  Wink Besides, what are they going to say if turnout is below 75% again  Huh perhaps they shoud be pointing their water pistols at the 28% who couldn't be arsed to vote  Whistle

Absolutely, Britain always kept itself at arms length. IMO we should've always been part of the Schengen. It's Europe for crying out loud, All Europeans should be allowed to move freely within it.
It's true we were never going to adopt the Euro as currency either. I'm not surprised that most of the continent dislikes England. At the same time it's ridiculous to perceive England as the 'bad guy'.

I'm all for the points system, SCO. I think it is an effective way to maintain Migration as well as being fiscally sound in the long run. Canada have a similar system I believe? Unless you have something to contribute to the society there's no reason for you to be entering the country.
However, there's not a prayer of this being implemented in the UK because anything that certain groups don't like, they scream racism at until the other side caves in. It always seems to lead full circle like a snake eating its tail.

Voted Remain but not distraught about being on the wrong end of the decision. It could work but it will need everyone pulling in the same direction so trying to get the result overturned would not be a good start. I thought we were supposed to be good losers in this country! Need to knuckle down and get on with making the best of our new reality, not harping on about how unfair it all is!
