The internets lighting up with articles from the middle to upper classes especially. Distressed about the shares, investments they have lost.

Agree, Maddix! something that has zero effect on the majority of people. The majority of people can barely make ends meet despite being dual income families never mind have stocks & investments!! Doh They can go and eff themselves, all they care about is money. And as you point out, money can always be better spent elsewhere instead of constantly being misappropriated by local councils then handed out to their contractor mates.

It's noticeable how the deprived areas of the UK voted a resounding no to the EU. It just goes to show how the gravy train only had two stops Doh London and Brussels Angry Politicians have ignored the North for too long and marginalised us by changing boundary's over the years to ensure the status quo and constantly refused proportional representation Angry Well they got what was coming to them and what they fully deserved Big Grin

This is an unprecedented result in terms of who voted for what!! Scotland and the rich in London. Voting together is completely unheard of, and the vast majority of the working class and even middle class rejecting the Labour plea to remain. It's an upside down result in so many ways!!!

But the people have spoken and I for one thing Cameron should resign, whatever anyone thinks of him he staked his claim on the Remain mast and it failed. But rather than just the Conservatives deciding who will lead the UK through this process their should now be a General election. In many ways that vote will be more important than yesterday as they will be the ones who get to strike the deal!!

Scotland can give up talking of independence, they had that chance last year and completely bottled it. As for NI, I don't really care, it's should be up to them what happens from here. The markets are all at sea but that will be temporary. Even over here I heard some people complaining about the drop in the Dow Jones index this morning but as someone pointed out it went up 500 points yesterday as it looked like Remain would win, and as the vote went to Leave, that same 500 points fell off today!!! Essentially the markets are exactly where they were a couple of days before this aside from the pound, which was always going to take a hit if leave won!! Of course there are a bunch of traders who are a lot richer today if they called it right and bet that way!!

I said I thought it was most unfortunate, that it was the same kind of fear-mongering at work as is currently being indulged in by Donald Trump. People all too ready to accept simple answers to complex problems. Problem finding a job? Blame the Mexicans (not you, imre). Don't like all the immigrants and refugees? Pull out of the EU.

Aside from all that, Winston Churchill was spot on when he famously said that democracy is a wonderful thing until you have a 10 minute conversation with the average voter. The financial implications of pulling out of the EU are far too intricate for the average person to get his or her head around. Never should have been put to a referendum in the first place.

Stock markets are plunging, even the Canadian $$ has declined (because Canada has heavy investments in the UK), companies will find it hard to compete and there will be large scale job losses in the UK.

And that's just MY opinion. Whistle Whistle

Although you are correct in saying what most stupid ignorant social claiming scumbag ENGLISH who should and would be shot in the head like in schindlers list if i had my way ! had voted for out to blame it on others !!! the point is this peiowl ive seen it worked it done it (got the xxxx Iraq tshirt through it because it was the only decent job offered ) I myself a working class middlle class english never asked for (polish although good lads ) (serbians horrible xxxx ) (Romainian scum ) and xxxx Russians to clean my arse !! tony blair did this to xxxx me and my work mates up who where busy calling the shots and getting us a better payed job !! unlike the Americans who are lazy pieces of shit ( ive worked there too ) who asked for other cultures to come and do the work !! i didnt my work mates didnt tony blair decided to xxxx us over the scumbag peice of shit WORST than Thatcher at least she gave us some balls to go out and get something ? and the point is its not racist its about England or GB (but after last night my view of the scots is sideing towardes invade it and kill the bastards) xxxx !! back to the point and the working class who are middle class lets be feffing right here ? nead work in there country and with all the imagration how the xxxx is that possible in a country the size of my cock ?

Cameron has handed his notice in Chaz but I think that's a tad unfair. He promised us a referendum and he delivered on it. Just because his individual opinion, which for once counted just as much as mine, didn't agree with the outcome doesn't give grounds for him to have to resign. It was all in the manifesto on which he won the last election.

Saying that, I'm glad he's gone Wink

Tony Blair was always a c'unt Angry University Socialist Angry He's the reason I haven't voted Labour since 1992 Cool

I thunk the fact he said he was staking his position on a remain vote left him little choice but to carry through on that promise as well. Yes he delivered the referendum exactly as he said he would but he failed to deliver the decision he and his party officially wanted. As for Labour, they are even worse, opposed the referendum, campaigned to stay and completely lost heir core voters to Leave!!!
