2016/17 (Jan 30 Update) WBA January Transfer Window
Trouble is: QPR will laugh that offer off, and wait to see how this summer's Inflation will hit the market. I think last year's £4m will be £8m this year. If we'd offered (say) 6, the deal could be done now - then we can move on and target players that fit in with Phillips.

As much as I like Phillips, I do hope we are aiming a bit higher than building a team around him.

Better news today Morrison deal as good as done and should be announced this week. (B Mail & E&S) Substantial pay rise for JM.

Good news "if true".

Fantastic news re Mozza!!  Thumb up  Thumb up  Thumb up

Will be interesting to see what the effect of the 'new money' will be on the value of someone like Phillips as mentioned above, who has only a year left on his existing contract. I suppose we've got to start somewhere, but it WOULD be good to finally get him and then move on to other targets.
Over to you, Mr Hammond.

Why??? Here's a player who's been around for a while, playing in the lower leagues and, it would seem on whom Reading are not prepared to take a punt. He scores the winner for Wales v Russia and then does nothing v England except be fouled by Rooney for Wales' goal. Based upon this we are now "interested" in him. Is the level to which we have now sunk? A non-entity available on the cheap!

Isn't there a Hal Allen-Astle-Regis-Taylor-Brown out there we could go for instead?
