Sheff Weds 2014-15 - The First Half

With Maguire missing, who do you think should get a run in the side?  Personally I would give Helan a run on the left wing and move Maghoma to the right or just behind the front two.  Service into the box is what we have been lacking and this is a chance for someone to stake a claim to be able to sort that problem!!

Helan deserves it as he has done well as a sub but I would like to see Drenthe start.
The ultimate measure of a man is not where he stands in moments of comfort and convenience, but where he stands at times of challenge and controversy.
I suppose at some point SG is going to have to start Drenthe so that we can see what he can do, not that we should be trying anything without just cause though!! Maybe having Helan as an impact sub is his best position currently but as you say he probably deserves a start.

Radio Sheffield reporting Madine might be going out on loan, with Coventry being one of the interested teams.

Confirmed now, Madine joins Coventry on a one month loan deal.

That leaves us with May, Nuhiu & GTF.

I hope he has another striker lined up or at least a creative midfielder, if SG know what a creative midfielder is!
Nothing great will ever be achieved without great men, and men are great only if they are determined to be so. For glory gives herself only to those who have always dreamed of her.
We definitely need creativity. Think we're ok up top. May can score, Nuhiu had his shooting boots earlier in the season and GTF has always had a few goals in him. Maguire can also play up top.

Earlier in the season we were being adventurous and so the strikers were scoring goals, the man city game put an end to it. Why can't we just go back and play like that again FFS?

GTF's best season in this division was scoring 8 goals and he hasn't scored double figures in a season for eight years and then it was just 11 in L1.

FFS, Madine got 19 in his last season in L1 and he is ten years younger & might improve if we played him.

SG is a complete idiot. He says Drenthe needs to do in matches what he does on the training pitch. Well pick him then you dozy t**t.

SG is going to get us relegated so unfortunately we need to sack him now before we drop to the bottom six.

SG has been in charge for 44 matches. We have won just five of the last 22 & none of the last six where we appear to have stopped scoring with just three (two deflected free kicks) goals in seven home matches. No wonder crowds are dropping.

SG's record over 44 matches (have to be fair because he started well) is

P44 W16 D13 L15 Pts61

That isn't massively better than DJ's record over his final 44 matches where a poor run led to his sacking. It was:

P44 W14 D15 L15 Pts57

Fans will stop going if the team doesn't win and doesn't score at home.

So far the only difference between SG and DJ has been the streaks!! DJ had really bad winless streaks whereas SG has had shorter streaks of losses and wins!! It is highly likely that this pattern will continue, we will win three on the bounce and he will be safe for a few more games but essentially we are going nowhere fast currently!!

We will continue to slide down the table because there was a high degree of luck behind our wins.

Coke's wonder strike won it for us at Brighton and they had a red card.

Birmingham were terrible.

We got a lucky deflection against Reading.

Only the Middlesbrough win was a quality performance which we haven't seen since. Teams know we will play 442 now so all play three in CM so our chances of winning are slim. If SG stays, we will probably win around another four matches this season & go down although MM will intervene before then.

Any sign of a player coming in yet ?? Or anyone else going out. Are we still at the one out one in stage aswell.
