Why are people moaning about the link with crouch?? Who else is there? Austin gone to Saints, Naismith to Norwich..

Is Crouch any worse than what we already have........erm No. is he likely to score goals, I think yes which is better than Rondon, Vic and the Fat man

My thoughts as well. Cannot be any worse than what we have and he's got the experience in this league. Wouldn't cost a lot either.

Doesn't matter if we have world class strikers, if you have as a team been instructed to lay back and not supply them. Someone mentioned Villa goaolkeeper punching out a ball, and 5 Albion players were still in their own half - that says it all - and to me that's why i am after many seasons, looking out for Walsall and Birmingham scores.

Pleased they are not in the bottom three, disappointed with the style of play not being the Albion i've known. Is anyone?

I`d prefer Marouane Chamakh as he`s at least got some pace.
McManaman £5M out, Berahino £19M out.
Phillips £9M, N`Doye £10M, Chamakh 5M in.

So I see we are "leading the race" for Balotelli.

Probably the least Pulis-like player ever... Complete no-starter (I hope)

The other thing people seem to be forgetting is that WAGES are the barrier to us signing players not TRANSFER FEES. You can't just balance £20m coming in with £20m going out - it won't work like that - and besides, we have money for transfer fees, no doubting that.

If we offload Saido (say 35k-50k a week) and McMannaman (maybe 20-25k a week) then we would only be able to get in one player on maybe 50k-70k a week, and that would be pushing it for a club like ours, not to mention the potential impact on the dressing room if one player were to immediately come in as the top earner.

I realise that you could allocate some of the transfer revenue to your wage bill but after tax I suspect every £1m in transfer revenue would only equal 15k a week or so (maybe even less) in extra wage space.

Plus you have signing on fees, bonuses, etc. etc.

Hence the reason why I am happy for us to let Morrison go - frees up wage space

God no. Chamakh is rubbish!!

in my opinion we shouldnt be signing players that cant already get in the first team of similar level clubs

I'd just like to sign a new Head Coach/Manager......

One of our main problems is instability, keep chopping and changing the head coach, we need to sort out recruitment and overhaul the squad, you can change the driver but the bus is still the same ..........

So r the seats hard as nails after hours sitting.

We should be allocated taxi's after some shocking games.

Also Peterborough have now signed thtree new players - does that signify anything for us in the Cup?

West Brom are not interested in signing Liverpool's Italian forward Mario Balotelli, 25, with Serie A side AC Milan keen to end his loan spell. (Express and Star)

Tottenham winger Andros Townsend, 24, looks set to complete a move to Newcastle after the two sides agreed a compromise over the fee. The Magpies' opening offer of £10m was turned down, with Spurs wanting £14m. (Guardian)
