Feb 1st (Final Day): WBA January 2016 Transfer Window
Not a lot of point surmising who or what we will buy or indeed sell as it doesn't seem we are very active until perhaps the last couple of days.

Saido has a 'bug' tonight according to TP...call me sceptical but I always think things like that make it sound like "we're selling the boy for some good cash soon and we've wrapped him in cotton wool".

If we do sell him, one I'd like to see a little enquiry made for is the boy who plays against us tonight - Jonothan Kodija. Times I've seen him this season he looks a cracking player. Signed from the French Ligue 2 as well I think!

Just wanted to share what I have heard from a mate who has good links within the club...
He has told me that Sadio was sent home today from training because he was sick.
Watch this space..

Then four different papers reporting Saido may be gone by the weekend !!!

The sooner the better. DD Sick Sick

Everton will demand that Manchester United pay £65m if they want to sign their 22-year-old Belgium striker Romelu Lukaku. (Sun) ............... If only....

West Brom striker Saido Berahino, 22, and Tottenham winger Andros Townsend, 24, remain Newcastle's top transfer targets, but both deals are proving complicated. (Newcastle Chronicle)

Tottenham have made a £23m bid for Atletico Madrid's 29-year-old Colombia striker Jackson Martinez. (Marca, via Daily Express) ..... Potentional spanner in the works.....

Just read on the Owls board that they are hoping to take Jordan Rhodes on loan from Blackburn.
I'm not qualified enough to assess, but is JR just not up to Premier standard? He was on a lot of Premier Clubs' radar a year or so ago.
Start every day off with a smile and get it over with

According to Sky Sports, Chelski reached an agreement to sign Alexandre Pato from Corinthians.
Does that mean they're no longer interested in Berahino, if they ever were interested.
His 'options' are getting less all the time.

I wonder what poor Saido is going to do when no one comes in for him.

I would have thought if any of the big boys were going to make a first choice offer they would have done it by now, so unless a "big" club is waiting to hear about someone else first, it looks like he is not going to one of the big six. It is unlikely any of the smaller clubs will meet JP's valuation or come anywhere near it.

We all know JP will not sanction a last minute deal, unless it meets his valuation so its doubtful if anyone is hanging on for a last minute bargain  (unless Levy just wants to pi@@ off JP and comes in with an under price offer at the last minute again).

So is anyone going to even make an offer and where will that leave Saido if no one does?  IMO he will either go off the rails big time or it might just prove a kick up the proverbial and he might just buckle down in an attempt to prove something, then hopefully tell the big boys where to go when they do come calling. (wishful thinking)

Just a slight correction, not sure a loan has ever been mentioned but we are consistently rumoured to be in for him with Blackburn having a selling price of 12m.  Not at all convinced we will spend that much on him but I could see us going to 8m, possibly 10m, if we could get him.
Rhodes is an interesting situation, his scoring record is as good as any other striker (165 goals in just over 300 appearances!!), he is only 25 years old yet while the like of Afobe go for 10m he is still sat scoring goals for Blackburn, a team going nowhere!!!  I cannot understand why none of the lower half prem teams, including yourselves, have not come in with an offer!!!!

Saido Berahino is being kept waiting over whether he will be allowed to leave West Brom in this window. The 22-year-old striker would like to go to Tottenham, but the Baggies are keen to sell him to Newcastle for £15m. (Daily Mirror)

Fellow West Brom striker Salomon Rondon, 26, admits he is feeling the pressure of his £12m price tag from Russian side Zenit St Petersburg. (Birmingham Mail)
