After another great win last night against the Rays and a defeat for the Yankees by the White Sox, the Jays magic number is now SIX. Great knuckleball pitching by Dickie.

And now the Magic Number is FOUR after Jays sweep the Rays, winding up with a walk off home run by Josh Donaldson, who is a shoo in for AL MVP!!!!

Still think the Cards will take the WS SCO?

Not a chance. Jays have all the momentum plus the team.

Thurney - I saw Dr. Who last week and recorded it this week so I haven't seen it yet.

Never used to be interested in the Dancing but since I met the wife I must say I have been converted and now I love a bit of sparkle on a Saturday evening!

The Cardinals have struggled recently although I would still not rule them out.  In actual fact the Pirate and Cubs may actually both be on better form but they are going to meet in the play-in game so one of them will be gone before the winner faces the Cards.  In the AL I think the team to beat is the Royals and this may be their season for the whole thing!!

Don't agree. The Jays have now caught up with the Royals as being tied for best overall W/L record in AL. Royals have been fading a bit of late.

Not sure it would be wise of the Blue Jays to overtake Kansas as then you would have to play the winner of the Play-in game. The likely winners of that will be the Yankees and personally I would rather play the Texans in the Division series. Last season we saw the two teams that won the play-in games go on to be in the World Series, momentum and all that adrenaline carries some teams a long way!!
