Nothing great will ever be achieved without great men, and men are great only if they are determined to be so. For glory gives herself only to those who have always dreamed of her.

Watched all the European TV coverage & Schwartzel looks impressive with Donaldson & Luiten the most likely challengers over the weekend. Still have hopes for my players as shots can be gained and lost so easily on this course.

Didn't see the Tour coverage & probably won't until Sunday.

Ridiculously close with the whole field within seven shots of the leader (what happened to the ten shot rule!). Anyone could win this but as I am spending the weekend in London, I shall not see any more until the end of the final round.

Max Kieffer 33/1 (General) -6 T14

David Howell 40/1 (General) -2 T66

Fabrizio Zanotti 40/1 (General) -4 T35

Rikard Karlberg 50/1 (Paddy Power) -3 T55

Alejandro Canizares 55/1 (General) -5 T24
