Saw this from baggie79 on .com: "Just an interesting point I took from a general conversation with someone who is very rarely wrong. He said that Inter had a nibble at Mulumbu during the window but we were miles apart on valuations, we apparently wanted £15m+, nice one JP!"

West Brom are working on signing Spanish attacker Alberto Bueno, according to reports in the country's press. Bueno, which in Spanish means good, came through the ranks at Real Madrid's impressive player quarry. The 26 year old played more than 100 hundred times for Real Madrid's B team, with a decent scoring record, but only made a handful of appearances for the first team. He moved on to Valladolid before a strange loan move to Derby County, both periods were reasonable if not spectacular.

Premier League club West Brom would be showing some faith to recruit Bueno, but also working on the back of some decent figures. He's now at Real Vallecano and again has a good scoring record of around one goal every three games, but he's not catching the attention widely in Spain and he's not exactly a wanted man of La Liga. That could be down to poor scouting from elsewhere not keeping up with West Brom.

Bueno can play as a number 9, 10 or as a wide attacker from the right. He's versatile and wouldn't be a bad squad addition. He represented Spain at every level from U16 to U21 and there's a feeling that there's more to come, which is what West Brom would surely be hoping. However, transferring a goal every three games from la Liga to the Premier League would surely be acceptable too.

The Spaniard has a contract until June 2015 and Spanish newspaper Diario AS aren't certain whether a West Brom move would be for a deal in January, or to wait until the summer and get him for free. It would be possible to negotiate a free transfer with the Real Vallecano player from the January transfer window onward, with Bueno then arriving in June.

Bueno is a good little player. When I was on holiday in Coruña, I watched his club Rayo Vallecano play against Deportivo La Coruña live in the Estadio Riazor and he had a very good game. He played in the hole behind Manucho and played slightly to the right of centre. He had a good first touch, was very nimble on the ball and was happy to drift into wide positions. He also took his two goals very well, the first with a header from a great Aquino cross and the second a good finish following a swift counter-attack.

He is an attacking midfielder who can can also play out wide on both sides similar to Blanco.
