Footy bets, 2 out of 3!

Got my stake back off losing tennis bets by going for no tie breaker in the Federer game!

Also put 50p each way on Slattery in the golf, just contemplating cashing out!

Clearly the morning players had the best of the weather so it could turn around tomorrow if the wind gets up in the afternoon. Pieters did well to get to -2 while the wind was up but Jimenez has a lot to do, finishing on level par.

Have been backing Serena Williams to win her matches 2-1 recently and am on a profit for the US Open with this as the price is usually around 3/1. She is 5/1 for a 2-1 against Vinci in her semi final with Paddy Power which looks like value to me as I would price it up at around half those odds at 5/2.

Three bets for this weekend, all small as I wouldn't recommend getting up to full stakes this early in the season.

Leeds v Brentford

This looks like a decent bet for low corners. All of Leeds' last eight home matches have failed to reach 10.5 corners at an average of 8.4 per match. Seven of Brentford's last eight on the road have also fallen short of this line at an average of 9.0. Bet on Under 10.5 Corners at 1.95 (Bet365)

Oldham v Peterboro

This looks like a high corners match unless a change of management at Peterboro changes the way they play. Bet365 have set their line at 11 corners here. This bet would have won four times, pushed twice & lost once in the Latics last seven home matches at an average of 12.9 corners per match. It would have won seven times & pushed twice in United's last nine away matches at an average of 13.1. Bet on Over 11 Corners (DNB) at 1.90 (Bet365).

Cambridge v Leyton Orient

This looks like a good match for goals. The U's last six home matches have all gone over 2.5 goals while all of the O's away matches this season have had four goals. This makes the available odds of 1.95 on Betfair pretty attractive for Over 2.5 Goals.

Good Luck!

Two out of three winning bets on the football with comfortable wins at Leeds & Oldham for a tidy profit.

End of Day Three:

Joost Luiten 20/1 -8 Tied 25th

David Horsey 50/1 -10 Tied 15th

Thomas Pieters 75/1 -14 4th

Pieters goes from strength to strength. Still pretty open with all three possible of at least a place.

How are our long term bets doing?

All six of the players we have backed for Top Goalscorer (Benik Afobe, David Nugent, Leon Clarke, Tom Bradshaw, Paddy Madden & Matt Green) scored today. In fact, Bradshaw scored twice.

If you had backed them in a "To Score Anytime" £1 accumulator would have paid £2952.

Happy with these. Don't forget we are each way with all these bets.

Could it be another Thomas Pieters Day?

Pieters wins the KLM Dutch Open as Lee Slattery bogeys the 18th so Pieters wins by 1 stroke and makes MS have a big smile on his face.

Eddie Pepperell finished T5th so I should get something back from him.

Nice one MS, I should have cashed out Slattery last night, Thanks to your tips though I have a large profit so far!

Wowser!

Thank you Thomas Pieters. Looks like that holiday has become a cruise.

I suspect that we won't be getting 75/1 on Pieters again.

Just backed Simona Halep for the Australian Open Tennis.

She is ranked two is the world and may well have triumphed in the US but for an injury.

At 9/1 she represents good each way value and I expect her to be around 5/1 by January.

SKY Bet gave me a free bet so threw it on a Wednesday & Birmingham double for tomorrow night at 6/1.

You might consider some correct score singles, doubles & trebles on tomorrows games.

Bolton v Wednesday 1-2 1-3
Middlesbrough v Brentford 1-0 2-0
Charlton v Huddersfield 1-0 2-0

Obviously a 3-1 to Wednesday gives a good profit alone at 28/1.
