If I was a Championship manager, you bet I would. I think he'd be excellent at that level. Then again, maybe that's why I'm not a Championship manager!

Yes, it's people pretending to be Sky Sports transfer centre, a lot of sad people with way too much time on their hands

Lets hope so - would like to see outgoing deals for Lescott deal done (along with Anichebe).

Then fingers crossed a few incoming - although would rather this was done today and not teasingly at tea time tomorrow. I am commuting back from the City and so will not be able to take part in the chat!

Ideye is very harshly done by I think, his goals/minute I'd imagine was much higher than Walters. The same goes for Anichebe, people keep coming out with the "who would buy sicknote" line when in actual fact he would walk into any team in the Championship.

As for Walters, he works hard and I don't think it would be an awful signing, but he will be 32 in September and I struggle to see what he would offer us apart from a bit of competition on the wings for a season.

£5m fee agreed with Bournemouth for Crystal Palace striker Glenn Murray - medical tomorrow morning.

Odds for Charlie Austin signing for Palace from 16/1 to 2/1.
Bournemouth still favourites to sign Austin at 7/4 but if they are signing Murray......

Does that mean we're going to miss out on Austin, if we were interested? Or is Berahino staying?

I'd still like Lescott to stay if there's a chance, but I've started growing to accept his departure.

I'm assuming that our deadline day will be fairly busy but I'm not sure which positions we'll actually strengthen if Berahino stays (so we don't need to replace him).

Also Guests please sign up, all 24 of you, you'll enjoy it.

Don't want Austin, even if Saido was to go - which I don't think will happen. We need a playmaker and/or a winger, what is the point in signing quality strikers if we can't even pass the ball twice in a row, let alone supply them with chances?

£5m for Glenn Murray? Football is getting ridiculous.
