Like most of us on here, we "put shifts in" for considerably less than Berahino has. He cares only for himself. The only thing I hope is that we get plenty for him. That's the unintentional good thing he might do for the Club. I won't give him much thought when he's gone. Believe me, the Club will survive.

Put him back in the under 21's for a while just to teach him footballers are not gods regardless of what THEY think.
I really thought these tantrums and delusions of grandeur were behind him, he can not be that thick (can he) that he did not realise this is the way the game works. A club makes an offer that is rejected, then they come back with another offer etc. The only logical explanation I can think of is the lack of an agent has left him in the dark, assuming he has not got a new agent yet.
He could have hung on one more week and left with everyone's blessing, not anymore.

I suppose now I have cooled off a little now and reading back on an article from February, which most people on the forum at the time said, fair enough to.
“I’ve got to stay focused on what I’m doing right now, which is scoring the goals and keeping West Brom in the Premier League.
“If I can keep them in the Premier League and score as many goals as I can, I’m pretty sure the fans wouldn’t mind me pushing on and going on to bigger things.”
I know I certainly thought ok fair enough at the time and I guess he is just holding us to it. He could still have waited a week though, then pushed if it did not happen.

Saido has benefited from West Brom and West Brom have benefited from Saido, it is time for both to move on. Spurs would be a good move for him with regular football likely. I say best wishes to Saido (as long as we get a decent offer for him).

It was fairly obvious Saido was going after being left out yesterday, so the transfer request doesn't mean much.
Personally, I think he's a top player and I'm sad to see him go. I think he'll score a hat full of goals for any side that can actually slip him through from open play.
That said, I thought we looked better with 4-5-1 and Rondon is a better option for leading the line on his own. So if the money is invested wisely, we could have a better 'squad' for the sale. My worry is if we waste money or overspend on players who aren't even going to get in our side.
Townsend and Fazio as part of the deal would be a good start... Although I can't help thinking Saido will go to Man Utd.
