You'll find that Tottenham are linked with about 300 strikers currently.

According to the media, Saido should have signed for Spurs 2 days ago.

Not too bothered about missing out on Gestede. Very good in the air but unproven in the Premier League and only had one good championship season.

Benteke or Ayew and Gestede? I know which one I would have every single time and I'd be worried if I were a Villa fan if they are the only striker additions.

To be fair if we sold Berahino and another (foster, or yacob maybe) and had 30m floating around, I'd be livid if weren't spending money with like 10 days to go.

Villa are almost certainly going to be a touch weaker, so no need to worry about them. I think we're doing okay in the window. McLean and Chester are both going to have a heavy contribution in terms of first team action. I'd much rather this than the likes of Gamboa, pocognoli, varela (whom I all rated a bit) and blanco and Samaras where between them they got About 6 Prem games..

Just been stalking Instagram and found that James Chester has just followed Wayne Hennessey on there. Could this be a sign... Don't shoot me, I'm just bored..

Yes, but if we shot you, you wouldn't be bored any more. I don't think we should, but it's a thought.

That's natural, Dan, they're in the Wales squad together. I don't think we'll buy Hennessey on a long-term contract, only a short-term one, for cover, unless Ben Foster's injury is a lot more serious than is believed.

Express & Dingle reporting we along with Sunderland are making enquires about striker Jean-Christophe Bahebeck from P.S.G. only 22 but as represented France at Under 16, 17, 18 and 21 levels.

Looks to me to be a similar player to Berahino and probably only paper talk anyway, but he does look an interesting "prospect". Might work well with Berahino and you would certainly need speedy defenders everywhere to cope with those two together, but are they too similar?
