Short of getting a free-spending multi billionaire, it ain't gonna change ay it ?

Whistle

Did we really expect it to?

It was about this time last year that TP fell out with Palace....

'Twas always so. Nothing has changed yet (new owners not confirmed) and so we wait for players and agents to assess other 'better' options before considering Albion's advances.

In fact this summer could be worse as there is a theoretical big money new owner in the wings and those greedy agents and selling clubs will be adding a few mill to all valuations when talking to us.

As ever, a painful wait. But at least when we act this summer the manager is having his say on who is bought

West Ham sign one of the best players in Ligue 1 last year and have also signed Ogbonna from Juventus. Stoke sign Van Ginkel from Chelsea, Newcastle sign Wijnaldum - Dutch first team player. Palace sign Cabaye from PSG. Villa sign Richards and Gueye. Seems everyone around us is buying and not only buying anyone but buying real quality. A lot of those players we should have been looking at and teams around us are really pushing the boat out for top quality players. Don't want to panic too much but the way things are going teams around us will easily finish above us next season.

Its not easy when Pulis is stuck in the past he doesn't seem to be interested in players from abroad the problem with signing UK based players is they are usually over priced we either need to pay up or Pulis needs to stop been so narrow-minded and start looking abroad else we'll still be well short of the mark come the start of the season, Its really starting to frustrate me now  Angry

I`d give my right bollock for Breel Embolo from Basel but I guess we`ll end up with gash left overs from the Championship.

As it stands I have to admit I'm starting to worry, out of all of the teams in the league we have had the worst start to the window by miles.

Read this and thought it to be hyperbolic. So I went and checked every other team's signings so far and aside from maybe Norwich (signed Dorrans and Mulumbu, two of our cast-offs) you're correct. Slightly concerning.

I'd take Gnabry. Showed glimpses of promise in the games I've seen him and has buckets full of pace, the main quality we lack.

I would take a shot as well, but I would be surprised if we would get him.

This is interesting, if half accurate.
