For me I think its a very good appointment, has demonstrated he`s a very worthy manager and certainly played very good football as manager of Croatia, loved by WHU fans also

West Ham have named former defender Slaven Bilic as their new manager.

The 46-year-old replaces Sam Allardyce, who left by mutual consent last month after the Hammers finished 12th in the Premier League.

Bilic, who has signed a three-year deal, said: "It is a great place to play and I felt like I was at home."

On paper its a very good appointment, I just always worry about returning heroes coming back to the club where they have almost legendary status!! As we all know, every manager sooner or later will get fired or leave, often the hero status leaves with them!!

I had a bad feeling about his appointment, watching Sam's boys drag their sorry backsides round the pitch during our Europa misadventure only made that feeling worse, glad he's proving me wrong, I'd love nothing more than for him to succeed
