It's the future, I'm afraid. The rest of the world are leaving us behind in limited overs cricket and nobody else but us appears to be interested in Test Cricket.
Look at the recent test in Barbados. The ground was full, but full of English tourists.

I had a feeling about 5 years ago that County cricket and Test cricket would die out in England. T20 and One day cricket is the future. Just look at the IPL and how popular that is, the ECB will want something similar over here.
