I don't remember any official statement saying that TP was now Manager (rather than Head Coach). Have we dispensed with our Chief Exec (forgive my memory, but the bloke who replaced Garlick, who replaced Ashworth). Has TP (with Kempy) assumed that he's now in charge of Recruitment as well?
I'm not bothered, but the system has served well for a number of years. Last year's recruits have been very poor (in TP's eyes), so I'm assuming the Recruitment Executive has been dispensed with.
Start every day off with a smile and get it over with
Mark Jenkins is the Chief Executive. Mervyn Day is head of recruitment.

OK. But does that mean that their roles and TP's roles sometimes clash? If so, something's got to give one day.

There'll be no clash with the chief executive - he is strictly on the non-football side.
The clash that I feel will surely come is between TP and Terry Burton, our Director of Football, who is supposed to be TP's boss and is also Mervyn Day's boss.
But it's been very apparent from day one, after the very first Press conference in which Terry Burton introduced TP, that TP's deaings have been with JP.
In the same way that some on here have a pathological and almost instinctive dislike of TP, for the life of me I cannot see what Terry Burton brings to Albion, what difference he makes. He could go tomorrow and I doubt I would notice it. I hope he goes soon, no offence to the guy.
As an extension to that, I do feel that Mervyn Day will be very much reporting to TP this summer. I cannot imagine TP allowing any player to join or leave without his personal say-so - and as long as JP remains Albion chairman, JP will allow that situation - as he should.
