boring bob willis advocating steven finn to return against aus and nz in a 5 man attack. he did say him or plunkett, i'd rather plunkett seeing as I no longer rate finn due to his inconsistancy. I'd accept him being irratic at 94mph but at low 80's i dont see the point, batters are generally too good in international cricket now and unless the ball is doing something then its bread and butter. dont understand why he is in the odi squad either tbf, far better younger options. says it all about finn when the last time i checked dernbach was above him in the odi rankings, tbf dernbach bowling normal with limited fancy crap isnt that bad a bowler, quick and gets swing both ways, he just spends too much time trying to be smart and getting new tattoos

Trouble with Dernbach is that he always gets put on at the end of the innings and his figures take a lot of stick. Not as bad as his figures suggest.

broad needs to settle on deciding what speed he wants to bowl at, one time its a 78mph next it is 90, if he bowled say at 85mph he'd be able to bowl his shorter balls, not a 78 he cant, also needs to have a word with daddy about batting again, although he strikes me as one of those who believes he is better than what he is and believes he has a divine right, bit like some of those upper class private school politicans.

Jerome Taylor is expected to return, Kemar Roach is likely to make way after five wickets at 53 in the series so far. West Indies played two spinners at this ground in their last Test but have not brought Sulieman Benn back into their squad. Instead they have brought in Veerasammy Permaul, also a left-armer, and he may play because Devendra Bishoo has cut his spinning finger from over-bowling.

West Indies (possible): 1 Kraigg Brathwaite, 2 Devon Smith, 3 Darren Bravo, 4 Marlon Samuels, 5 Shivnarine Chanderpaul, 6 Jermaine Blackwood, 7 Denesh Ramdin (capt/wk), 8 Jason Holder, 9 Jerome Taylor, 10 Shannon Gabriel, 11 Veerasammy Permaul.

Ben Stokes has a sore back and could miss out. Liam Plunkett or Mark Wood could add pace to the attack, while Adil Rashid, the legspinning allrounder, could be considered having been prevented from returning to county cricket. Stuart Broad's place may also be vulnerable. Ian Bell hurt a finger and didn't train the day before the game but is expected to play. After only one convincing innings from four knocks, England could decide that their decision to recall Jonathan Trott was hasty and hand Adam Lyth, the specialist opener, a Test debut.

Pitch and conditions:

The tour returns to a traditional venue and the wicket in Bridgetown is anticipated to provide a bit more pace and bounce, which is good news for everybody. It is also a little drier so spin could play more of a part than the previous Tests of this series. In short, we might have a more sporting wicket. A good crowd is anticipated for the first day with it being a public holiday. The Brits have flocked over too.

trott will keep his place, although a poor showing may leave him at risk against new zealand. bell will play, broad as we've mentioned is undroppable and rashid is liked by the selectors who value his wickets and accept the fact he may go for runs, but peter moores and alistair cook are more conservative than david cameron and george osbourne put together and want to keep it tighter than a rats behind. plunkett will probably be put in and quite frankly i am surprised he didnt start the tour, cook likes a bully, even on slow unresponsive pitches. this one however, may respond
