Yep, but then that is the problem with amateur internet sleuths and conspiracy theorists - they're rarely equipped with the necessary knowledge to properly dissect the information they obtain, and they rarely operate outwith an obvious agenda that they are desperate - mind-bendingly desperate - to promote.

It's symptomatic of the internet itself - any idiot can use it, and any idot can make their voice as loud as they want it to be.

And yet they gorge themselves still on tit bits of rumour and lies.
As for paying the Ashley debt off, why not wait until we know where we are playing next season before making fiscal decisions, but then that would be far too rational.

This covers the 'fit and proper person' tests regarding Dave King and Paul Murray.

In all honesty if you apply the SFA rules/guidelines then it will be very difficult for them to pass King as fit and proper. Whatever decision they make they will be slated by one side or the other.

That's all well and good SCO, but where were the guidelines previously when they allowed all and sundry to take over the club.

He has been accepted by the South African authorities - the very same whom he recently settled with - as 'fit and proper' enough to be a company director in South Africa, and he has been okayed, by the Court of Session no less, to be on the board of a publicly listed company.

Are we really saying the SFA criteria for being on a football club board should be stricter than those?

Now SCO, consider that then wonder again why many of us think the football authorities up here are doing their level best to kick the living f*ck out of our club.

Lets put another spin on it though, what if this was a hostile takeover, the fact that he pleaded guilty to 42 counts of tax fraud or whatever it was would and should lead to a thorough investigation into him by any football authority, and the fans of any team in a hostile situation would be extremely wary and possibly outright anti him taking over!!

Cooper, the problem you have is the SFA seem to be all over the place with their rulings on a number of issues, so god knows what they will do in this situation!!!

Trus, Yes you are right about what the SA authorities said, but that was right after he paid his fine to them to avoid jail after his convictions!! And the Court of Sessions are applying a different set of rules that the SFA supposedly adhere to. Sure these can be used as part of his evidence that he is fit and proper, but they don't guarantee his success.

As regards the claim you make about the authorities, Scottish football is a funny business, its a lot more paranoid about all manner of things, so me justified, some not, but the common theme seems to be that others are out to get someone, and multiple teams seems to think the same people are against each of them!!! Someone is right and the rest are wrong, but the lack of consistency in the judgements and ruling they make leads to this complete mistrust in the authorities from all sides to start with!!!

Aye you're right. Just look at the fixtures that Rangers had to contend with in 2008 - highlighted by Barry Ferguson in today's Daily Retard - all in the name of 'sporting integrity' and the SFA bending to Lawwell's claim of a promo trip booked to Japan - that never happened.

Guess who won the league that year, after Rangers collapsed after playing 8 games in 20 days - one of them a UEFA Cup Final - including 3 away games in 6 days to finish off the season? Guess who won the league?

And that's the same Lawwell that his pals voted on to all the SFA boards that wield any sort of power in the Scottish game.

Aye, some justified, too f*cking right.

Completely agree, and there are so many others that work other ways as well!! I have never seen a group so incompetent at running a sport, from the TV deal, to the handling of fixtures, to the appointment and retaining of crap refs, the list goes on!!!

I reckon he will be passed fit and proper Regan is just doing this after the xxxx up with Whyte, the gers fans (and rightly so) battered them for the lack/any form of due dilligence of his take over,he's just hanging it out making it look like he's doing his job when IMO he knows the answer
