England were beaten 4-10 this morning by Slovakia. They managed to stay in touch at 4-5 down after 5 ends but fell away in the next couple of ends. They did recover well to beat Turkiye by 9-5 later, never being behind in the game.
Scotland were soundly beaten 10-5 by Group leaders Korea tonight. Losing 5 shots in the 3rd end made their task impossible and a loss of 4 shots in the 7th end only compounded their misery.
Tomorrow England play Spain in the final session at 20.00, with Scotland having 2 games - Hungary at 13.00 and Slovakia at 20.00. With the Group stages finishing on Friday, both teams need wins on the board to keep in contention.

Scotland suffered another defeat against Hungary by 4 shots to 8. They were well behind the whole game and struggled to gain any momentum. They did recover well in their second game, beating Slovakia, one of their rivals for qualification, by 6-3. Nothing spectacular here but consistency saw them score 5 single shots in the first 5 ends to seize the initiative and clinch the win.
England romped home against Spain, winning by 10-3. After 4 ends they were only ahead by 1 shot and finished strongly to put pressure on the teams above them.
Tomorrow's games will be crucial to both home teams' chances. Scotland play Spain in the final session at 20.00. England play Hungary at 09.30 in a game they surely need to win, as they face unbeaten leaders Korea in the 20.00 session.
