Hibs v St Mirren - Saturday 9 November
#1
Another home game for Hibs on Saturday with the visit of St Mirren.

Even after losing 3 players due to court appearances, The Buddies will still be tough opponents, although they lost their way over a 4-week period. But now they have recovered with 4 points in their last 2 games to sit in 7th place, only 4 points above Hibs.

As for The Hibees, there's not really anything I can add to my previous posts, so all we need to do is cut out the stupid individual mistakes and convert various scoring chances that we do occasionally manage to create. Sounds easy, doesn't it? Another draw beckons in a game we should be capable of winning.

No recognised strikers this time around as Kuharevich (suspended), Gayle (injured) and, of course, Bowie (out due to a long term injury) all missing from the Hibs team in this upcoming fixture. So what does Gray do under these latest stressful and unwelcome circumstances??? Initially, I would play Boyly or Hoillett in the CF position as I don't think there is any other option. Also I would welcome any piece of good fortune such as St Mirren losing a player to a red card and giving Hibs some kind of advantage in a football match that we want to win. Whether Gray can attain a victory is anybody's guess even though the signs are not in his favour. Will the upcoming international break signal the end of his tenure??? I must say I'd luv to see him him succeed and do something positive. However, there appears to be too many glaring issues attached to his style of management that will unhinge him from his position as Hibs manager. Lastly, Hibs not winning home games is becoming a really contentious issue for me when adding in the whole sham covering Hibs rotten historical home record since stadium modernisation (2010) to the present time. It's an absolute disgrace!!

3 St Mirren players suspended for being up in front of the beak and likely we won't be able to take advantage Laugh Laugh

Just great. We will likely have Boyle up front for this one and he is not contributing a lot at the moment.

I notice SDG is coming out with the full backing of the board stuff now. The data is showing improvement....blah blah blah....Yet there we are still at the bottom of the table. It worries me when managers start with this pish, especially considering if it was anyone but him there they would likely be getting hounded from the stands.

The half-expected loss was the only consistent thing to happen at Easter Road this afternoon. Martin Boyle only managed to contribute ineffectiveness and lack of confidence. The under-performing defence also managed to contribute the usual catastrophic error and SDG continues to tinker with the team to absolutely no positive effect.

I can't believe that anybody is able to defend the shambles that currently exists under SDG's management. Either he changes things or the board changes things for him. The "backing of the board" scenario/excuse is surely the first sign of that change.

That's plenty.

Today was just unacceptable. We only really looked like showing any urgency in the late stages of the game, i still see no style of play or sign of tactics in our approach to games, usually capped off with some terrible choice of substitutions. I love the guy but he just isn't qualified for what always was going to be a tough job.

Its the international break now and we should change it up and give the new manager the january window to fix this mess as best he can. Leaving SDG in place for longer means a real risk of going down.

Can we trust those in charge to do the right thing though ?? Its just as likely they will leave him in place too long and then drop Malky in when its too late. One things for sure, going by today in the stadium things are getting toxic.
