With the games coming thick and fast this week, Hibs have a chance to redeem themselves after the collapse 2 weeks ago at Tannadice. We all know what needs to be done, but are we going to see it happen? Or will we be so weak as to invite the opposition to have a go at us in the last 15 minutes once again?
Two draws in the last two games is a slight improvement, but it's still not good enough to get us up the table. United will be a difficult team to beat and I fancy yet another draw this weekend.

One must ask the question, "Could this be David Gray's last match as manager of Hibs first team"??? There is no doubt in my mind that tomorrow's game at ER Stadium is a winnable one, esp after watching Hibs recent previous display v United at Tannadice that should never have ended so badly. However, David Gray is fast looking like a Hibs manager who can't find a win, no matter what he says or does. The most glaring aspect about his current team is the fact I don't see any great enthusiasm or zest attached to lots of players in this Hibs side. As said in a previous thread a while ago - there are lots of players in this Hibs team who look like they are "getting a game" and that's it!!! I want to see Hibs players who genuinely celebrate scoring a goal with a bit of gusto about them; also "hi-fiving" re a crucial goal blocking tackle, or similar, wouldn't go amiss. There's nothing there in my humble opinion, not even a proper Hibs captain! And David Gray has had months to engender that kinda positive team spirit and genuine enthusiasm to play in matches and enjoy them. Also his highly questionable choice of certain poor players still prevails. For example, I'm baffled why he hasn't "rested" Bursik and at least tried to play an older goalie, Smith, in that position. Also playing Miller for weeks is baffling when any fool can see the Aussie is an extremely poor defender who is not gonna improve - also in need of a rest or just drop him altogether??? Anyway, here's hoping somebody enthusiastically "steps up to the plate" and starts scoring the requisite goals or Gray's position becomes untenable. IMO he needs a win; not a draw - A WIN!!! Hibs, as a reputable footie club, just can't continue "in this vein" for much longer as it becomes more n more insulting to loyal Hibs fans who have been really patient in the face of watching this scenario gradually unfold, and are still showing up/backing Hibs to somehow come through this crisis.

Think we have to get the three points today or SDG is going to come under a fair bit of pressure.

Another 2 points thrown away in the last few minutes this afternoon. Can someone not write a different script? There's no need for me to add a postscript later tonight. We all know what it'll be like.

Being one who argued against changing any new manager after a poor run of results and certainly within the first season, I don't feel the immediate need to boot SDG out now. I understand the clamour for drastic action now and I suspect that, if we don't have a successful November, things will change.
If he is given the boot, I'd be very sad because we've been down this road before and it hasn't turned out well. If he isn't, I wouldn't be too disheartened if he walks because he's had enough and seen the writing on the wall. Either way, it would probably be better if he didn't continue at Easter Road in a lesser capacity.

That VAR goal was awful, but seen them given in the past. Just totally needless.
Utd were terrible and the points were there for the taking. Performance wise wasn't any better than ok I'd say. We badly lack creativity in midfield, just as we lack cutting edge and composure up top.
Once again the manager messed up the timing of the subs but the one plus point has been we look a bit better defensively of late.
Our stats are ridiculously bad, relegation form for sure.
