Town v Blackpool

Absolutely appalling first half. Just when you think it couldn't get worse, it does.

Duff has thrown the towel in already. He's shown on TV in the dugout before the start of the 2nd half with his mate. No subs, no other coaches in there. He's sat on his arse whilst Bruce is on the edge of his area and he's 0:2 up 3 minutes into the 2nd half. Get rid now. Not a single Town coach stood up shouting orders. Pathetic, not good enough. Bin the bloody lot of them.

I think they boos at half and full time were the loudest I've heard. I can't see where we go from here. There's just nothing there. Nothing!

How can you go from that win at Bolton to those two unacceptable performances?

Well that was awful. I try to be positive and not kneejerk but duff showed tonight that he is tactically clueless. 3-5-2 doesn't work, not in this style anyway, the gap between defenders and midfielders was way too large, the Blackpool players just ran into the space, the gap between midfield and attack was massive and the space between the two forwards was too pronounced.

Multiple players could have been hooked at half time. Ladapo was pure crap, he made hudlin last season look okay. How he got to 70 minutes is beyond me, how wiles got a full game, he was abysmal. Hodge looked a tidy player.

We need a change in system, if duff can't get beyond his stubborn mindedness then we will continue to have the same problems. Go to 4-2-3-1 and let's get rid of the gaps in the half spaces at least and let's attack, jeesh we're at home and in league one, not sitting rock bottom of the prem playing against superstars.

As I said on the Northampton thread, not really taking to duff. I hate to say Im very much thinking that there's really only two men that could do something with this club. They both would require Cartwright to bugger off too, which by now probably should happen

I thought the two Wolverine boys play OK. Hodge needs a Hogg with him though. He's way too small to play with the big boys. Wiles and Kane were poor. As were most of the rest of the team.

We did however create a couple of chances in the second half. Their keeper pulled of a couple of worldie saves from Hodge (was it?) and Radulovic. That could've got us an undeserved point.

Duff said, when he eventually faced up to an interview, the lads aren't doing as they're told.

Doesn't tell us what they're actually doing wrong though. Huh

It's too early in the season to say it, but I'm gonna say it anyway......

Saturday at Reading is a must win game. Blush

Where's Kasumu? He was supposedly fit for the Bolton game but hasn't even made the bench since returning to training. He didn't even make it into yesterday's B team game.

If he is fit, he should take Sorensen's place on Saturday and young Iorpenda should replace Wiles.

Hogg needs to play. Kane should sit this one out. And a welcome return to the starting XI for Danny Danny Ward.

And why did he not bring Pearson on when Helik limped off?

Headley played well going forward last night. Possibly close to man of the match. But every misplaced pass or blocked cross was met with jeers.

Aye well done everyone. That'll give him confidence. Angry Doh Sick

Last night was better than Saturday but only just.
We are so slow at the back and when we play with high wing backs that gets exposed.
We are wide open in midfield with Ben Wiles fast becoming the new Transparent Taff.
Finally up front, nothing sticks.
