New start summer transfer and gossip thread 24|25 season
A championship club has had a 1.3 million bid accepted for Sory Kaba.

will it be us? we were sniffing around him at the end of June, but a work permit was not granted. We have one place left for a player without a permit. Could it be we get Kaba and Ugbo?

Ugbo was born in Lewisham, so no work permit issues.

Signed another you g keeper obviously this is back up only I imagine Charles has done enough to impress DR and be second choice behind beadle.

The keeper signed is the trialist Killian Barrett ...

Ugbo plot thickens because Troyes have been reinstated to league 2 football due to bourdoux being shut down !
Weve offered 2.5 m and won't budge ..they want double ffs ..

I'm with the club on this 2.5 is a ver good offer

Sounds like we'll be missing out on Ugbo as well as Poveda then.

We don't need to be making decisions out of desperation. It never served us in the past.

While there is a comfort in bringing in players we know and somewhat trust to be good enough, I have to imagine that DR has a backup plan for both positions. Let's see what happens but DR seems way to thorough to not know what he will do now.

And as Imre said, 2.5m is as high as we should go for Ugbo.

I can see poor ugbo being left to rot till the next transfer window when they will have to back down in there stupid price of 4.5 million .

We can only hope Rohl has another in mind. The Mcneil kid is for development so we definitely need a senior striker.
