Grimsby Town midfielder Evan Khouri has extended his deal until the end of the 2025-26 season.

The 20-year-old made his Mariners against Morecambe in September 2020 at the age of 17.

The former West Ham trainee, who is currently out with an ankle injury, made 22 appearances last season.

"To get the backing of the gaffer with being offered this deal is great and really important to have that security as well," he told BBC Radio Humberside.

"I've got to prove to the gaffer that I'm better than whoever he brings in and I'm worth a starting place.

"I'm just hoping to build as a person and a character on and off the field and play as many games as possible."
