Tonight's game between Brora Rangers and Cove Rangers has been postponed for a second time. It is now scheduled for Tueday 30 January, depending on incoming storms. Don't be surprised if it's postponed again.

Amazingly Viaplay are going to show Rangers v Ayr United at 17.30 on Saturday 10 February and St Mirren v Celtic at 14.00 on Sunday 11 February - see a previous post to guage my opinion of Viaplay.

BBC Scotland will be featuring Morton v Motherwell on Friday at 19.30 on Friday 9 February plus BBC One Scotland will show Airdrie v Hearts on Sunday 11 February at 17.00.

Last 16 Results (Part Deux)
St Mirren 0 Celtic 2
Airdrieonians 1 Hearts 4

I must admit that Lawrence Shankland gave a masterclass in clinical finishing this evening.

Quarter-final Draw - games to be played on the weekend of Saturday 9 March
Aberdeen v Kilmarnock
Celtic v Livingston
Greenock Morton v Heart of Midlothian
Hibernian v Rangers

The weekend saw the last of the Uniteds fall by the wayside, leaving Morton as the only non-Premiership side left. The tie of the round must be Hibs v Rangers, although Aberdeen v Kilmarnock looks pretty tasty too. Celtic and Hearts should be safely into the Semi-finals, BUT and there's always a but, you just never know.

BBC One Scotland will broadcast Aberdeen v Kilmarnock on Saturday, 9 March with a 12:15 kick-off.

Hearts' trip to face Championship club Morton will be on the BBC Scotland channel on Monday, 11 March at 19:45.

Celtic's tie against Livingston and Rangers' trip to Hibernian will both be shown on Viaplay on Sunday, 10 March.

The game at Celtic Park will kick off at 14:30, with the Easter Road tie at 17:30.

PS In other news, I've just watched the goal of the season from Raith Rovers to win against Dundee United in the Scottish Championship. Hopefully Huddersfield Town will repeat the dose against Hull City tomorrow in the English Championship.

Despite Aberdeen's never-say-die heroics and Hearts' promise (but not their application), the Scottish Cup will have an Old Firm presence. Aberdeen scored in the final minute of regulation time, then a minute before the end of extra-time, to take Celtic all the way in an enthralling semi-final. Rangers were never really tested by Hearts in the other semi-final.

The Final will be played on Saturday 25 May at Hampden Park.
