League One club Reading have signed defender Tyler Bindon from Major League Soccer side Los Angeles FC.
The 18-year-old defender has been training with the Royals since the back end of last season and featured for Ruben Selles' side during pre-season.
A United States Under-19 international, Bindon has agreed a two-year contract.
"Tyler has the work ethic and determination for a successful career," head of football operations Mark Bowen told the club website.
The terms of Bindon's move to the Select Car Leasing Stadium have not been disclosed.

Reading have signed experienced goalkeeper David Button on a two-year-deal.
The 34-year-old has played for West Bromwich Albion for the past three seasons where he made 31 appearances in both the Championship and Premier League.
"He is a model pro," Reading head of football operations Mark Bowen said.
"We are bringing in an immensely experienced goalkeeper who has knowhow and quality."
Bowen added: "He's keen to help some of our young goalkeepers learn, but most importantly he wants to prove himself as the prime candidate for the starting position."
Button, who came through Tottenham's youth academy, has made more than 350 appearances throughout his 17-year career for 18 different teams.

Reading have signed Nigerian winger Paul Mukairu on a season-long loan from Danish side FC Copenhagen.
The 23-year-old made 25 appearances for the club having joined the Danish top tier side in 2022.
Mukairu has also played in Turkey for Antalyaspor and spent time on loan at Belgian side Anderlecht.
The move means he links back up with Royals boss Ruben Selles, who was previously the assistant manager at the Danish side.

Andy Carroll, Tom Holmes and Nesta Guinness-Walker in action for Reading.
Reading have had more success so far this season playing a younger squad
Reading boss Ruben Selles says he understands if some of his most experienced players want to leave the club.
Striker Andy Carroll and defenders Tom Holmes and Nesta Guinness-Walker have all been left out of the Spaniard's squad the last two games.
The trio were core players in 2022-23 and combined made 104 appearances in all competitions.
So far this season in five games they have featured just six times in total.
"The boys understand their position," Selles told BBC Radio Berkshire.
"They are training well, being professional and trying to get into the team."
'They need to fight'
Carroll, Holmes and Guinness-Walker started both of Reading's opening league games to kick-off their new season, and both resulted in 1-0 losses.
Since Selles decided to remove the three from his starting line-up in favour of younger players, the Royals are undefeated.
The 40-year-old former Southampton boss says a mix of players is still key to his side achieving success in League One.
"What I need are players who really want to do things for the team and be better every day," he added.
"They have to come with the personality to make things happen, and I think we are showing that we have the right personnel so far.
"It doesn't matter how old they are.
"I understand if players will try and go elsewhere to get minutes, but if they stay here, it is good, and they need to fight for their spot.
"If an offer comes in from elsewhere we can talk about it."
Reading, who are currently 13th in League One, will look to extend their undefeated run to three games when they travel to face 7th placed Exeter City at St James Park on Saturday.

Former England striker Andy Carroll has left League One side Reading.
The 34-year-old former Liverpool, Newcastle and West Ham forward triggered a clause in his contract allowing him to leave the Royals.
Carroll, who scored two goals in nine appearances for England between 2010 and 2012, will reportedly join French second-tier side Amiens.
He re-joined Reading on a free transfer in September last year and scored nine goals in 34 appearances.

Reading have signed former Portugal youth international goalkeeper Joel Pereira on a one-year deal.
The 27-year-old, who came up through the Manchester United academy and played once in the Premier League for the Red Devils, has an option to extend his stay by a further 12 months.
He left Dutch side RKC Waalwijk in the summer after a two-year spell.
He has played on loan at six clubs, including with Rochdale and Huddersfield and Scottish side Hearts.
"Joel's recruitment gives us another option in the goalkeeping department, and during his time training with the team, he has shown a desire to work hard to meet our high standards and to push the other goalkeepers for that starting spot," Reading's director of football operations Mark Bowen told the club website.

Reading midfielder Ovie Ejaria has had his contract terminated by mutual consent.
The 26-year-old made 124 Royals appearances but the last of them came under Paul Ince in November 2022.
After joining on loan in 2019, Ejaria made a permanent switch from Liverpool the following year.
Reading said he had left because of "injury and fitness problems limiting first-team action, and a desire from the club to reduce its expenditure."
Ejaria's contract had been due to expire in the summer.
The one-time England Under-21 midfielder made two senior appearances for Liverpool, in the EFL Cup in 2016, before loan spells with Sunderland and Rangers.

Reading have sold vice-captain Tom Holmes to Luton Town, who have immediately loaned him back to the Royals for the rest of the season.
The 23-year-old joins the Premier League Hatters for an undisclosed fee.
The centre-back has made 129 Royals appearances and has been at the club since he was eight years old.
Hatters boss Rob Edwards said: "Tom is one that we've been tracking for a while. He is very experienced already, even though he's fairly young."
Speculation about the future of Holmes and 20-year-old Nelson Abbey seeped out before Saturday's scheduled home game with Port Vale.
It is understood to be a major reason for the fans' protest which led to the abandonment of the League One match.
Holmes was left out of the Royals starting line-up, having indicated that he would prefer not to be picked.
After the match, Reading boss Ruben Selles confirmed the club had accepted bids for the two players.
Holmes will be available for the Royals' trip to Wigan on Saturday, subject to EFL and FA approval.

The academy graduate made his debut aged 18 and made 112 appearances in the Championship before Reading's relegation.
He also made 11 appearances on-loan at KSV Roeselare in Belgium's second tier in 2019/20.
A Reading statement said: "Everyone at the club would like to congratulate Tom on his move, and look forward to working with him for the rest of the season."
FA charge for Bowen following Port Vale red card
Meanwhile, Reading's head of sports science Josh Bowen has been charged by the FA after receiving a red card in the aftermath of Saturday's abandonment against Vale.
It is alleged Bowen used "abusive and/or insulting" language towards a match official prior to his sending off and behaved in an alleged "improper manner" and used "abusive and/or insulting words" to the official following his dismissal.
Bowen has until Friday, 19 January to provide a response.

Cash-strapped Reading have sold defender Nelson Abbey to Greek side Olympiakos for an undisclosed fee.
The England Under-20 international made 31 appearances for the Royals after coming through their academy.
The 20-year-old has captained Reading in League One this season, with his sale likely to help fund the club while the search for a new owner goes on.
Abbey had been linked with a move to Premier League side Luton earlier in the January transfer window.
Olympiakos owner Evangelos Marinakis also owns Premier League club Nottingham Forest.

Portsmouth have signed Reading's Tom McIntyre for an undisclosed fee.
The Royals defender was out of contract at the end of the season and the League One crisis club have decided to cash in for a fee reported to be about £75,000.
The 25-year-old has agreed a two-and-half-year deal at Fratton Park, with a club option for an additional year.
Blues boss John Mousinho told the club website: "Tom has the attributes to complement the players we already have at the club.
"He has a huge amount of Championship experience. He has also captained Reading on numerous occasions.
"As well as being comfortable on the ball, Tom is also an excellent and aggressive defender, so we're delighted to add him to our ranks."
In a farewell message to fans on social media he said: "Playing for Reading has been a privilege and a dream come true.
"Nothing will beat hearing your name being sung by the very fans you used to sit with."
After a 'very frustrating few months' during which Reading have been beset by off-field problems as owner Dai Yongge seeks to sell the club as well as dropping into the League One relegation zone, McIntyre said: "I never imagined it ending this way.
"While my time as a player may have come to an end, I go back to being a fan who hopes the issues at the club can be resolved and it can get back to being the club that we all fell in love with."
