Striker Cole Stockton is among the large-scale departures from Morecambe after their relegation to League Two.
The Shrimps have confirmed 14 players are leaving following the expiry of their contracts, with no players offered new deals and six players under contract for next season.
Goalkeeper Connor Ripley, defender Liam Gibson and playmaker Dan Crowley are among the others to be let go.
Morecambe's relegation was confirmed with a 3-2 defeat at Exeter on Sunday.
The club have been struggling financially, with players paid late, and have relied on "significant" investment from Sarbjot Johal, whose perspective takeover of the club is yet to go through.
"To the departing players, it is very difficult as some of them have been with me here for a significant period of time," said manager Derek Adams.
"Ryan Cooney, Liam Gibson and Cole Stockton were all part of our play-off winning side and depart with nothing but my best wishes for everything they have given both me and the football club."
Morecambe won three of their final four games to give themselves hope of staying up, but were relegated on the final day of the season.
Donald Love, Max Melbourne, Farrend Rawson, Jake Taylor, Jacob Bedeau and Adam Mayor are the players who remain at the club.

Morecambe goalkeeper Adam Smith has signed a new one-year deal.
The 30-year-old was one of 14 players released by the Shrimps at the end of the season after they were relegated to League Two.
However, he has now signed a new contract - having initially joined the club in February 2022.
"This season Adam will have a real opportunity to push on and try to make the starting spot his," boss Derek Adams told the club website.
Connor Ripley - Morecambe's first-choice keeper last season - is among those leaving the club at the end of June.

Morecambe have signed defender Chris Stokes on a one-year deal after his departure from Kilmarnock.
Stokes, 32, signed for Kilmarnock in 2021 and featured 44 times, winning promotion to the Scottish Premiership in his first campaign.
He has also won successive promotions from League Two with Coventry City and Bury.
The defender previously spent more than five years with Forest Green Rovers and had a spell at Stevenage.
"I have spent a lot of years in the EFL [English Football League] in my career and Morecambe was always a very difficult place to come to and always a battle and I look forward to being part of a side that will make the Mazuma [Stadium] a difficult place to come to in 2023/24," Stokes told the club.

Morecambe have signed striker Charlie Brown on a one-year deal, following his release by Cheltenham Town at the end of last season.
The 23-year-old scored five goals in 28 games last season, his second campaign with the Robins following a move from MK Dons in the January of 2022.
Chelsea academy product Brown also had a loan spell in Belgium with Union Saint Gilloise earlier in his career.
"Charlie is a promising young forward," boss Derek Adams said.
"He has come through a very strong academy and has since gone on and really tested himself in League One which will serve us well."
Although he failed to make a first-team appearance while at Stamford Bridge, Ipswich-born Brown has since played 66 senior games with Union, Dons and Cheltenham.
"I'm very much looking forward to the challenge that lies ahead," Brown added.
"When you join any club it is about 'what feels right' and this certainly felt right for me and I can't wait to get going."

League Two side Morecambe have re-signed midfielder Yann Songo'o, with Blackpool goalkeeper Stuart Moore also joining on a one-year contract.
It is the fifth time boss Derek Adams has signed Songo'o, having previously linked up with him at Ross County, Plymouth Argyle and the Bantams.
The 31-year-old won promotion to League One during his last spell at Morecambe.
Moore, 28, joins having spent the latter half of last season on loan with Doncaster Rovers in League Two.
"The manager is somebody I feel good working for and somebody who gets the best out of me," said Songo'o.
"My last spell at Morecambe was very successful as we won promotion to League One, so my memories here are happy. It's great to be back and to get going again."
Moore added: "I am at a stage where I want to be competing regularly for that number one jersey and I feel I can do that here. It's a great opportunity for me to continue developing in a division I know well."

"It's an important part of my progress and I am looking forward to the challenge," he told the club website.
Senior is the fourth player to join the Shrimps this week after they added Yann Songo'o, Stuart Moore and Cammy Smith on Tuesday.

Morecambe have signed midfielder JJ McKiernan on a one-year deal after his departure from Watford.
The 21-year-old joined the Hornets as a teenager in 2018 but did not make a senior appearance for the club.
McKiernan, a Northern Ireland Under-21 international, spent last season on loan with Eastleigh, scoring four goals in 41 National League appearances.
"JJ is still a young, raw talent but we believe we can help him develop here," said Shrimps boss Derek Adams.

Morecambe have re-signed free agent striker Jordan Slew for a second spell, on a one-year deal.
The 30-year-old has been without a club since leaving Halifax Town in April, having scored two goals in 18 National League games last season.
Slew's return reunites him with boss Derek Adams, who he has played under at Ross County, Plymouth and the Shrimps, twice winning promotion.
"Jordan is a player I know well," Adams told the club website.
"He is a player that knows this league well more importantly. Having been part of two promotions from League Two previously, he has that knowledge and experience to call on and to share with the group."
Slew has had a well-travelled career, playing for clubs such as Sheffield United, Blackburn, Cambridge and Port Vale.

Morecambe have re-signed striker Michael Mellon on a season-long loan from Premier League side Burnley.
The 19-year-old made eight appearances on loan last season, having joined the Shrimps in January.
His time with the club was curtailed, however, after he sustained a shoulder injury and returned to the Clarets.
"I am really happy to be back. My injury cut short my time with the club, but I want to get back to work and play my part for the team," he said.
"I want to keep pushing myself and keep trying to reach little targets, and I feel this is a really good place for me to do that this season."

Morecambe have signed midfielder Eli King on a season-long loan from Championship side Cardiff City.
The 20-year-old played 15 games in League Two last season with Crewe Alexandra as he spent the first half of the season on loan with the Railwaymen.
He has made seven senior appearances for the Bluebirds and signed a new three-year deal this summer.
"Hopefully I can continue my development at the same time as helping the team to progress," he said.
Speaking to Morecambe's website, he continued: "I am joining a club with real competition for places and where the demands on each player are really high.
"That was a big part of the appeal for me in coming to Morecambe."
