Jonson Clarke-Harris, the joint-leading scorer in League One this season, has been transfer-listed by Peterborough.

The 28-year-old scored 26 goals as Posh reached the play-offs, losing to Sheffield Wednesday in their epic semi-final.

He is one of nine players made available for sale, with the club following their policy of listing those in the final year of their contracts.

Defenders Ben Mensah and Nathan Thompson have been released.

Peterborough have announced the news less than 24 hours after Darren Ferguson agreed a new three-year contract - after returning to the club for a fourth spell in charge in January.

Clarke-Harris, who joined Posh from Bristol Rovers for £1.2m in August 2020, only once went more than three games without scoring this term and grabbed Posh's final goal in their 4-0 win over Wednesday in the first leg of their play-off semi-final.

Despite being overwhelming favourites to reach Wembley, Posh were denied in sensational fashion by the Owls' record-breaking comeback in the second leg.

Clarke-Harris is joined on the transfer list by goalkeeper Christy Pym, defenders Frankie Kent, Josh Knight, Joe Tomlinson and Dan Butler and midfielders Oliver Norburn, Jeando Fuchs and Ben Thompson.

Former captain Thompson, 32, leaves Posh after four seasons, having been part of the squad that won promotion to the Championship in 2020-21.

Meanwhile, long-serving right-sided player Joe Ward has been offered a new three-year contract.

The 27-year-old has made more than 200 appearances for Posh since signing from Woking in January 2018.

Peterborough United have signed midfielder Ryan De Havilland from National League side Barnet on a four-year deal for an undisclosed fee.

The 22-year-old scored nine goals in 71 appearances for the Bees.

De Havilland, who came through as a youth player at Fulham, has featured three times for England C - a national side selected from non-league players.

"We think we have a good player on our hands," Peterborough boss Darren Ferguson told the club website.

"He is a box-to-box midfield player, he has a good engine and he is both footed, which is very rare these days.

"It is a signing that we are happy with, we are looking forward to working with him, he is a good age and has a lot of development in him. I think he will be a big signing for us, he will fit in really well."

Peterborough United have signed Huddersfield defender Romoney Crichlow

Crichlow only made four league appearances for Huddersfield and spent last season on loan in League Two with Mark Hughes' Bradford City, making 41 appearances and scoring one goal.

"When I met the manager, he did a very good presentation about how I would fit in here and it really was an easy decision after that," he said.

"I really enjoyed my loan at Bradford last season, I managed to play a lot of games and we obviously reached the play-offs. For me now, it is about the next stage."

Stevenage have signed midfielder Ben Thompson from Peterborough United for an undisclosed fee.

The 27-year-old is the second Posh player to move to the Lamex this summer - following namesake Nathan Thompson.

And there will be three players with the same surname in Steve Evans' squad with Louis Thompson - Nathan's brother - having also arrived from Mansfield.

Ben Thompson made 33 appearances for Peterborough last season, scoring once, in a 3-0 home win against Morecambe.

"I've played against the manager's teams for several years now and I've have always liked the way he does things - I'm delighted to get this over the line," he told the Stevenage website.

Boro will be away to Northampton in their first game of the League One season on 5 August, both of them having been promoted last term.

Peterborough United have signed midfielder Archie Collins from Exeter City on a three-year contract.

Co-chairman Darragh MacAnthony said on Twitter that the club have paid a "big six-figure fee" for the 23-year-old.

Collins scored six goals in 49 appearances for Exeter last season - and started both games against Posh.

"He is probably one of the most sought-after players at this level, he was outstanding last season," boss Darren Ferguson told the Peterborough website.

"We wanted to strengthen the midfield area, we knew Jack Taylor would leave [for Ipswich] and it was an area we wanted to focus on."

The signing of Collins follows the arrival of Huddersfield Town defender Romoney Crichlow and midfielder Ryan de Havilland from Barnet. - and comes less than two years after Posh signed Exeter winger Joel Randall for a "seven-figure" fee.

"I have been with Exeter since I was eight years-old, so it is obviously a big move for me, but I felt it was the right time and the right club," Collins said.

Peterborough have also brought in 19-year-old forward David Kawa from AFC Wimbledon for an undisclosed fee, but he will initially work with their under-21 side.

Peterborough United have signed striker Kabongo Tshimanga from National League side Chesterfield on a permanent basis following a loan spell last season.

Tshimanga, 25, joined Posh on deadline day in January and made nine substitute appearances as Darren Ferguson's side reached the League One play-offs.

"The last six months for me have been really good - a real learning curve," he said.

"I am refreshed and now the move is permanent, I feel like a new signing."

Peterborough United goalkeeper Will Blackmore has agreed a new three-year contract with the League One club.

Blackmore made his Posh debut in a 4-1 win at Doncaster Rovers in May 2021 and made four further first-team appearances last term.

The 21-year-old achieved a first clean sheet in their 2-0 home victory over MK Dons last December.

"He will definitely be challenging for the number one spot this season," said boss Darren Ferguson.

Will Norris and Lucas Bergstrom were Peterborough's first-choice keepers last term, but Norris has joined Portsmouth and Bergstrom has returned to parent club Chelsea.

Christy Pym, meanwhile, is set to join Mansfield in a permanent deal, having spent last season with them on loan.

Peterborough United have signed Rotherham defender Peter Kioso on a season-long loan.

The 23-year-old made 13 appearances for the Millers last season after joining them from Luton Town.

He is the fifth signing made by Posh since they lost their League One play-off semi-final against Sheffield Wednesday on penalties.

"Peter is someone we have had our eye on for a while," boss Darren Ferguson told the Peterborough website.

"Fortunately he can play in three different positions, he can play right back in a back four, right-wing back in a back three and a right-sided centre back in a back three.

"He is athletic, quick, strong, a great character and has good experience of both League One and the Championship - and most recently the Championship with Rotherham."

Kioso has had previous loan spells with Bolton, Northampton and MK Dons - during his time with Luton.

"I have been involved for Rotherham so fitness-wise I am fine, I can settle quickly and I am looking forward to it," he said.

Peterborough United have signed Huddersfield Town goalkeeper Nicholas Bilokapic for an undisclosed fee.

The 20-year-old Australian, who has agreed a three-year deal, made eight appearances for The Terriers, seven of them last season.

He also had an earlier loan spell at Hartlepool United, playing twice for the Teesside club in 2021-22.

"The next part of my development is to get game time; I feel this is the perfect scenario for me," he said.

"I have been second choice goalkeeper in the Championship for the last two seasons so this is the right step in the direction for me and I am really excited about the opportunity."

Bilokapic will compete with Will Blackmore, who recently signed a new three-year contract, to be first-choice at the Weston Homes Stadium.

"I like Nick's temperament; he is very calm, he is an imposing, aggressive goalkeeper and I think he has got stacks of potential," said boss Darren Ferguson.

"I think the two goalkeepers will scrap it out and I am happy with that, they will push each other on."

Heart of Midlothian have signed Frankie Kent after agreeing an undisclosed fee with Peterborough United for the centre-half.

The 27-year-old Englishman, who joined the League One club from Colchester United in 2019, has been handed a three-year contract at Tynecastle.

Kent made 49 appearances last season as Peterborough finished sixth in England's third tier.

Hearts say they "beat off some stiff, late opposition" for his signature.
