European Union Referendum - In or Out??
Just where has this guy been hiding since 2016? Imagine that, "being part of the EU single market is a wonderful benefit" Ooo'd a thunk eh?

Mind you, 3-4 years (and the rest) with your head up Johnson's ass could conceivably affect your judgment for quite a while.

https://www.theguardian.com/politics/202...ace-brexit

It's supposed to be satire - but it's better reporting than most MSM churns out.

Pity the smallest part of the UK with the smallest population is the only bit that gets to enjoy that benefit, but let's not let facts get in the way of a guy getting revenge for his £50 fine for drinking a glass of coke in No.10 eh? Oh, and the eastern end, you know, the bit nearest England, that generally votes DUP, voted leave in 2016 when the overall majority wanted to stay. So overall they got what they wanted, eventually. The DUP just haven't worked out what to complain about yet, but they will, just because they didn't have the collective brains to come up with this fudge themselves.

Scotland just needs to start building that Bodgit bridge to create another "land border" to join in the fun.

Sunak is either taking the piss or he is really stupid.

He's basically telling the world Brexit was a shite idea for our fucked up economy, while carving out a nice wee Norway style deal for NI (basically single market membership without freedom of movement and a brake that will never be used by anyone). Not only that we've spent an absolute fortune and created mountains of needless bureaucracy to create this mess.

The EU have run absolute rings around our political establishment. They have achieved all their objectives since we voted for this clusterfuck.

Scotland btw will be absolutely fucked over by this decision, investment wise we are now further down the pecking order. The DUP ? Best summed up as the idiots in the corner.

The DUP are the spoiled little brats who threw the toys out of the pram, after they found out they are not going to rule NI.

I might be being naive here, but I've never understood why some UK goods destined for ROI were sent via NI. Why were they not shipped directly to ROI from Liverpool or Barrow? Is it because the Tories would rather piss off the Celtic (hard C) port workers rather than the Northeners?

Yep! I totally concur with Jim's comments and am incandescent with rage after listening to Sunak's description of events in this so called breakthrough deal for NI. Indeed, Sunak forgetting we previously had a better great trade deal with the single market and, like NI, the Scottish people never voted for this fraud called Brexit that has effectively trashed the country and ruined everything for new generations of kids in the process - utter failure and yet nobody of any standing wants to reverse this shit apart from the SNP and the Scottish govt who in some of the RW Brit media channels are conveniently never mentioned as opponents of this fraud. As Jim says, where is the equality of a devolved country (Scotland) v another one that is being favoured in the way that Sunak gleefully describes??? It's not fair and it is disgracefully disrespectful!!!!! Remember the Union/Brit govt comments previously uttered re "equal partners in a Union of equals"!!!????? Impudent nonsense!! These morons are as described - moronic infidels with no shame whatsoever when they disingenuously come out with their brazen lies and total disregard for Scotland and Scottish interests because our politics are not agreeable to these fascist bastards who really have literally "got away with murder"!!!!

If you've a wagon heading to Ireland, whether from a Scottish, English or Welsh port you fill that wagon with goods that are going either side of the border and get the local logistics to forward it on from whichever warehouse is your main drop point, unless you are self delivering everything or you can actually just fill it with goods for one or the other. If it costs the same on a ferry from Scotland to Belfast as from Liverpool to Dublin, why would you drive those goods from Scotland to Liverpool first? There's almost as much stuff going to Dublin then onto Belfast/the North as there is the other way round but because it's not caught in the Tory/DUP's spin cycles, it's not really mentioned.

Our Guvinmint is inspecting sod all coming in from the French/Dutch/Belgian ports, as Ree-Smog says, "too bloody expensive", so why would they inspect anything going North from Dublin?

Oh yes it is you chancer, Braverman!!! Brexit has everything to do with all the shit that has been going on at Dover for years, not just currently during the Easter period!! The real facts should be consistently presented to counter the usual bogus nonsense uttered by Tory-Brexit chancers like this toxic woman and others like Rees-Mogg, Gove who continue to "lie through their teeth", together with the colluding sad Labour Party and Starmer, in their quest to normalise the con that is Brexit.

Nothing to do with Brexit.... But the chief executive of the port said quite clearly that brexit is causing longer processing times.

I feel sorry for the kids stuck on their coaches but the press have conned folk for years now about what leaving the single market would do, looks like they aren't changing that anytime soon.

Not hard to work out is it? A coach load of folk just used to be driven onto the ferries or at worst have their passport scanned, now everyone has to get off and have their passport scanned and stamped by a Monsewer or Mad, erm, Moiselle Froggy Immigration Ossifer - you know, the one's that might otherwise be better employed looking for small boats being lined up for refugees, oh let's not go there too .... and don't even mention the rotten meat (and likely plenty of other stuff) coming the other way from who knows where that costs faaaaarrr too much for this Government to check.

Yep! The words "can of worms" come to mind when referring to Brexit. The list of failings/unfulfilled assurances-promises is almost endless.

Get off your skinny arse and do your job. Oh, sorry, you have. You've managed to stop the boats Thumb up - they just happen to be a bit bigger than the ones you thought you were stopping. Doh
