They didn't beat us that often Devon, we just couldn't beat them, and it gets into the psyche of footballers after a while.
Once Colin came in and said bollocks to that they all bought into it.

Burnalee might be different but they only won 1-2 at ours when we were crap.

We were worse than that, theo. Burnley only beat us 1-0, but we didn't have a shot on target.

Anyway, night night, all. Off to stick my headphones on and listen to that Lynyrd Skynyrd track that theo just put on The Chain. Cool

Whatever, I know we lost even if I can't count. We came 2nd but we weren't quite as bad as we were when Mr. Happy Jocky Man took over against teams that were far worse, and he thought he was the best thing since sliced Hovis. Who knows what will happen next week but Burnalee will have had a bigger handful to deal with than they thought for that game for sure, I doubt that we'll get the battering some are predicting.

At long last a decent performance and a game we tried to attack rather than defend for a 0-0.

Two great strikes for our goals and our goalie played a key role in both goals getting the ball out quickly..what a refreshing change.

I text my mate who was sitting elsewhere in the ground after 10minutes to say I'd seen more of Warnock in that 10 minutes than I ever saw of Fotheringham. Constantly barking out instructions and telling players where to stand/take up a position. With about 5 mins of normal time remaining they sent Brooky the kit man out top have a word with the nearest ball boy who was obviously told to slow the return of the ball back, the ball boy then went around all of the others in our half and passed the message on, he deserves a share of the win bonus

It would be great if you can play well against Burnley, but it isn't a match in which anyone but the team itself and the the staff can logically contemplate getting a point. Be a credit, if it ends in a positive result then wonderful, but it's the rest of the league you have to concentrate on. Just don't forget that winning feeling and all the things that worked for you on Saturday.

Warnock to his credit will try for you and everyone in the ground will see it. It always matters to him doesn't it?

(I've no idea what transformed him from the player I used to watch hangdogging about out on the wing for Chesterfield, but he's even older than me and I'd pay a lot for a few doses of the man's get-up-and-go.)

Would a hoodoo such as not being able to beat Birmingham still exist if no one had noticed it?

There are 50 balls in Euromillions, some come out far more often than others. Does that mean anything? Should you pick the best performers?

There are 91 clubs other than Huddersfield. Aren't some bound to have much better records against you than others?

If when Huddersfield and Birmingham meet all the players, staff and fans are made aware that things always go Birmingham's way isn't that bound to have an effect on the result? Equally if Huddersfield employ an ancient Yorkshire Gandalf just before the game with a strong reputation for saving failing teams, isn't it logical that the effect of that is likely to be more potent than a history involving different players and managers?

Human beings misappreciate the random and search for order and meaning even when there is none. Hoodoos are inside your head and only have an impact on the external world if enough of you agree to make it so. Stop finding them and all the hoodoos vanish. Play Wolves tomorrow and you'll find that your best player wouldn't make their bench. It would be Warnock+Hoodoo vs Football Ability.

Well if things weren't hard enough already Rovrum managed to win last night which now means the gap to safety is now 4 points although we do have a game in hand on Cardiff.

Lets hope Wagner can do us a favour this weekend by beating Cardiff because I don't think we've much hope at Burnley despite a better performance at the weekend
