Loovens did an interview last week saying he wants to stay so it's just a matter of us sorting this takeover nonsense and then him signing

To be fair if we were to get promoted, then Loovens would not be with us next season, and if we as expected finsh mid-table then we are probably the best option he will have, so i woould expect him to sign with us!!
I see Antonio is being strongly linked with a move to West Brom!! I think I know the answer but is there any chance we had a sell on clause built into his transfer??? You can be that after we let him go for 1.5m and we miss his goals and his assists badly all season, that just 6 months later Forest will sell him for 5m+!! Really makes us look like mugs in the market place, hopefully the refusal to sell Lees and Westwood is a sign we are lerning something!!!!

We don't seem to learn anything. We accepted the reduced fee & no sell on clause because SG wanted the cash up front so he could sign Stevie May. I said at the time that Antonio would go for millions in a couple of years time. West Brom have already offered £3,5m & I expect him to go for more than this. The blank refusal to sell Westwood & Lees in my mind shows we have learnt nothing unless the refusal is linked to getting the players to sign an extended contract. Whilst I don't want Westwood to leave, allowing him to reach the one year left point of his contract is management negligence. We have to buy cheap & sell high if we are to progress. In my view, we have learnt nothing. We have been turning down good offers then losing the player for peanuts for as long as I can remember & that goes back to David Sunley. If a player hits a hot run of form, sell them on the back of that hot run at a premium price, then bring in a better player for less.

Exactly MS. And it's not exactly rocket science is it either?
It still makes me mad thinking about it, How much they dropped on Assombalonga compared to the smash and grab sale of Antonio. We're one of the worst clubs I know when it comes to Transfers. We really should be loaning some kids out to Bristol and the Franchise etc in order to give them some experience at the level they'll be spending their careers

Take a look at this:

14 League apps 0 goals, a striker that doesn't score, will fit in well here then

And that defensive error by Gerry Young, who had to cover for that hopeless Sam Ellis reminds me of someone we just got rid of who used to wear a stupid hat on his head. Oh, and by the way, imre..go screw yourself? Where the sun don't shine?

His performances last season at home to Reading and away at Bournemouth were the best by a player in a Wednesday shirt as anyone since our PL days. If we could have kept Antonio with our current squad, I have little doubt we would be top four now. Since Antonio left, our goals have dried up but we have a solid defence. Add Antonio to a team with a solid defence......

We're doing better without antonio. 2 good games a season doesn't make them our best player
