I must say I've got well past trying to figure this out any more Jim - it's a total joke and we are powerless to do anything about it as they continue with this onslaught of crass governance driven by this entrenched political ideology emanating from Brexit and an English Nationalist philosophy plus this buffoon still bizarrely gaining favour from a big chunk of the voting population down south. Absolutely crazy!!
On a separate issue, I notice Johnson's Health Sec, Sajid Javid, a self-proclaimed Thatcherite who believes in low taxes/low spending, now has the job of levelling up the health service. More has to be done to reduce inequality and, as he says, "the disease of disparity". Note it's often said young socialists become more right-wing the older they get, but I've never heard of a staunch Tory becoming a socialist!!
A political party that has cut back finances to local authorities for decades, a party that has allowed the NHS to disintegrate, that has caused the inequality to happen in the first place, is now delivering soundbites! You've gotta laugh at this bogus political position! It'll be interesting to see the details of how it's going to be achieved! But like so many of their soundbites, it sounds good, but very unlikely to be delivered. I hope I'm proved to be wrong. However, I doubt it!!

"UK PM says it is time for the world to ‘grow up’ and ‘listen to scientists’ in speech to general assembly." Bodgit telling the world, sorry, UN that climate change might be real. So, has he got this factored into any of his budgets yet?
https://www.theguardian.com/world/2021/s...r-humanity
Coming from a man who has taken no notice what-so-ever of any scientific advice for the last year and three quarters - unbelievable. With Bodgit however, completely believable. Tell the rest of the world they have to do something, while he carries on shagging anything in a skirt.

Well said Theo! Rotten to the core, the blond buffoon visits the "Big Apple" to utter that totally insincere tripe to the UN assembly!!
Ignoring the contagion of whammies occurring back in the UK, Johnson blithely said there is nothing to be concerned about and that somehow things will sort themselves out? Beware a man full of soundbites who thrives on successes under his stewardship, but doesn't wanna be associated with all the failures and negative stuff, his ever loyal "bought" press corps ensuring that is reported in a lowly regard.
Let me attempt to cure Johnson's myopia and comb the hair back from his eyes lol!!! Most households in the UK could face a 14% rise in energy bills next year. The government is also increasing NI contributions by 1.25%. There is a shortage of HGV drivers which may lead to an increase in food prices. Last, but not least, the £20 uplift in Universal Credit is soon to be scrapped and likewise with furlough. - WE ARE WATCHING THE ADVENT OF A "PERFECT STORM" OF NEGATIVE EVENTS GRADUALLY UNFOLDING!!
All of those aforementioned facts will disproportionately hit the poorest in our population the hardest. Many will have to, quite literally, choose between heating and eating properly this winter. I think those "red brick" voters in the former Labour heartlands of northern England and Wales must be bitterly regretting their decision to support the Tories.

I'm loving this idea that European HGV drivers are desperate to head to the UK where they have to drive on the wrong side of the road, have to sit in huge traffic jams to clear customs, face imprisonment if a stowaway breaks into their vehicle, and risk being stranded the wrong side of the channel for a 2nd Christmas.
Short term visas, great stuff. Going by what i see at work many European HGV hauliers completely ignore the UK now. You will have to pay them through the nose to get them back.
Grant "its a global problem" Schapps is going to make it simpler to get a license, and bring in the Army. What could possibly go wrong?

Harris and Biden both despise him, they must have enjoyed taking him for all hes worth with AUKUS and then sending him to the back of the line. They couldn't give a xxxx about the tories.

Yep!! And no wonder esp after all the poisonous pre-Biden presidency comments they uttered against the Dems and the likes of Obama to impress a US President Trump who they never realised was gonna be deposed a lot sooner than expected - AN ABSOLUTELY PRICELESS MOMENT!! And Bolsonaro apparently revealing that Johnson RECENTLY tried to negotiate an "emergency"(?) food deal with Brazil!!! The Brexit "chickens" are well and truly "coming home to roost" eh!!

Things don't sort themselves out unless somebody takes charge and sorts it out. When has this clown done that? Ever?
I wouldn't trust this bone idle wanker to walk down the road to the local supermarket (might be a bit of a walk from Downing Street to be fair) and sort out the weekly shop or even book a home delivery on t'interweb.
Here we go - another U-turn. There's only one more significant one for the plonker to make now.

England expects...... Johnny Foreigner to do his duty and drive those trucks !!
Good luck with that. Generally people want to work somewhere were they are welcome and maybe have a future, not have to jump through humiliating hoops.
We are long term in deep, deep shit. Once inflation goes over 4% the banks will start to sweat and put up interest rates. The main reason inflation was rock bottom here despite our shite levels of productivity was EU membership.

I just wanna add to this issue that from a Scottish perspective we urgently need to be pushing for Scottish independence and it is probably even more important to start seriously creating a "national conversation" to discuss everything related to Scotindy and the implications, the contentious issues, why a small country like Scotland can do so much better and have a far more healthy regard for the well being of our people (and others!) as well as having that sense of community that is still a central core of Scottish society incl being outward and inclusive in our approach towards a new forward-thinking Scotland in a post-pandemic recovery without any antagonistic Brit govt interference in our affairs and trying to impose the wrong political ideology on a population that didn't vote for all this fascist shit that culminated from Brexit. On a day when 1000s and 1000s of Scots will be marching for Scotindy in Edinburgh, we can start with distributing a national leaflet covering the seven years of Unionist lies/claptrap/false promises since that disgraceful and shameless "Better Together" campaign of 2014, Scot referendum year. The list of lies, insults, disrespect and hypocrisy would be massive and they would be attached to another huge list of shameless Tory and allied Unionist hypocrites who somehow regard any democratic right of Scotland and the Scot people to push for independence to be different from other countries that have followed the same path down the decades and decades well into the 20th century.

I'm beginning to like Angela Rayner. She's got more balls than Keir Starmer.
