Still no news on any replacements for Drenthe & McGugan... 19 year old Baker hardly counts, especially if we're only playing him 10 mins at a time...

One comment struck a chord with me, during all our years of being 30m in debt we managed to maintain the debt to a point and as far as I am aware not make the losses we are doing now. We have bigger crowds now, more tv money and yes I am sure higher wages, but 6m sounds a bit high doesn't it. Anyone have any accountancy skills that can take a look and decipher the last accounts??

It's not really about losses/profit it's cash flow.
Back then we might not have been losing money but we also weren't making the money to keep paying the tax man/players wages/up keep of facilities (Hillsborough and middlewood road). Now we're losing money year on year but we have the funds there to be able to pay these things. This is largely down to having 1 owner who is willing to take the debt on himself and not bitch and moan about it, rather than 6/7 directors who didn't give a shit and left us to rot in the gutter
