An incredibly tenuous link between the films visited in the Back to the Future series and Aberdeen FC winning the Scottish Premiership has superstitious Dons fans excited this season, as the years that Marty McFly finds himself in are the same as the years that the club have won the league.

Its a great story, similar to one that runs over here. When he goes into the future he buys a sports book and notices that the Chicago Cubs are World Champions, a feat they haven't achieved for over 100 years, so all Cubs fans are latching onto this as well.

Of course to be pedantic, the 2015 date is actually next season for Aberdeen, not this one, but why ruin a good story!!!
